Syrian buildup with Druze OC for major Golan op

“Six steps by the Assad regime in the last few days, reported by debkafile’s military sources, point to preparations for a massive Syrian army offensive, backed by Hizballah, pro-Iranian Shiite militias and Iranian Rev Guards officers, for clearing the strong rebel presence out of the Syrian Golan.:

1. The arrival in the Quneitra area of the armored brigades of the 4th Division, which is the elite unit of President Bashar Assad’s armed forces and reserved strictly for battles of the highest strategic importance for the regime.

2. The Syrian brigades came with advanced Russian T-90 tanks that were detached from the Aleppo front in the north. Those tanks will be deployed for the first time just 8km from the Israeli border.

3. Hizballah too has contributed its elite fighting unit, the Radwan Force, which has arrived in Quneitra in the last few days to take part in the coming offensive.

4. Also concentrated there are pro-Iranian Shiite militia forces, under the direct command of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps.

5. The Syrian president Assad took the unusual step of appointing a senior Druze officer, Brig. Gen. Osama Zhar a-din, as the Golan front’s new commander. The motive behind this is an attempt to drive a wedge between the IDF troops posted on the Israeli Golan and the Druze inhabiting the local villages, while also sowing discord between the Druze serving in Israel’s armed forces and their Jewish brothers-in-arms.

According to our military sources, the current Syrian and allied lineup just across the border from Israel is not deployed this time to attack Israel, but for a clean sweep of all the Syrian rebel forces holding sectors of the Golan-Israeli border.
The pro-Assad forces are expected to weigh in with artillery shelling and heavy aerial bombing to force the local Syrian population of 140,000 to 160,000 to flee. This scenario would confront Israel and the IDF with the possibility of tens of thousands of Syrian refugees clamoring for sanctuary.

6. Our intelligence sources add that Iran, Hizballah and Syria have decided to henceforth hit back at any Israeli air or artillery strikes against a Syrian target on the Golan. This was decided at high-level three-way consultations in Damascus on Sept. 15, two days after Israeli aircraft attacked the headquarters of Syria’s 90th Brigade at al-Shaar, near Quneitra, in reprisal for the Syrian shells that strayed across the border.
Assad informed his allies that he will not put up with any more Israeli attacks on Syrian regional commands.”

“Ceasefire a distant memory as heavy regime airstrikes hit rebel-controlled areas in battle of Aleppo. World powers cling to failed truce.”

Iraqi army captures another ISIS stronghold south of Mosul

“Iraqi army forces, along with Sunni militia fighters, captured the center of the city of Al-Shirqat, located about 100 km south of Mosul, from the Islamic State organization on Thursday. Planes from the US-led coalition provided air cover for the operation. Iraqi army reports said ISIS fighters had abandoned Al-Shirqat’s hospital, city hall and a number of other public buildings in the center of the city, but others are still fighting against the army forces from within civilian homes or in small groups.”

Bible Prophecy

Every Eye Will See Him

“Q. In Rev 1:7 it reads, “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, and they also who pierced Him.” But in Rev 20:11-15 it reads that the unsaved won’t be raised until the end of the Millennium. Assuming that, “…they also who pierced Him,” were unsaved Jews (or Gentiles) at the time of the crucifixion, then how can they see Him when He comes in the clouds at the 2nd coming?

A. Jesus also told the Jewish leaders who were condemning Him to death that they would see Him in the future sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of Heaven (Matt. 26:64).

Add this to John’s statement in Rev. 1:7 and it means it won’t just be those who are alive at the time of the Second Coming who will see Him. His Coming will be visible to the spirit world as well, saved or unsaved, including those who were directly responsible for His death. When John said, “Every eye will see Him” he meant that literally.”

Bahraini Writer: I Was Shocked To Discover How Many Young Arabs Idolize Adolf Hitler

“On February 27, 2016, Dr. Entesar Al-Banna, a columnist for the Bahraini daily Al-Watan, wrote that she had discovered, much to her surprise, that many young Arabs idolize Adolf Hitler, mainly for his strength and steadfastness in fighting the entire world. She assessed that this phenomenon stems from the wave of violence afflicting the region and the sense of helplessness that it causes, as a result of which people look to someone who challenged the rest of the globe.  According to her, this worship of strength reflects the instability and the crisis of the Arab world, a crisis which is manifested in many ways, ranging from suppression of free expression to the use of extreme violence on all levels.”

Palestinian inmates end hunger strikes after release dates set

“Three prisoners had refused food for over two months; Ramallah official hails ‘victory’ over Israeli prison system.”

Big mistake by the Israelis. Now Palestinians know if they attack an Israeli and taken prisoner all they have to do is go on a hunger strike and they will eventually be released. This policy, along with incitement, fuels further attacks. This is appeasement at its worst.

Palestinians: “The Mafia of Destruction”

“Hamas and Palestinian Authority (PA) officials have turned medical care into a business that earns them hundreds of thousands of dollars per year. This corruption has enabled top officials in the West Bank and Gaza Strip to embezzle millions of shekels from the PA budget.”

An Inside Look at Israeli National Security Strategy

“Despite these threats, the geopolitical earthquake has created opportunities for Israel as well. Currently, the Middle East is divided into four broad camps: Iran’s Shiite axis, including the Assad regime, Hezbollah, and Yemen’s Houthis; the Muslim Brotherhood camp, led by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan but also encompassing elements in Egypt and Hamas; the global jihadist camp, including the Islamic State and al-Qaeda; and the Sunni Arab camp, which comprises Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and others. Israel and the latter camp share several common adversaries, and while their cooperation is already robust (albeit quiet), it is in their mutual interest to increase it even further.”

Iran unveils new weapons, threatens to obliterate Tel Aviv and Haifa

“Iran held large-scale military parades in Tehran and the port city of Bandar Abbas on Wednesday to mark the 36th anniversary of the start of the country’s war with Iraq. The parades displayed new weapons systems including Russian S-300 antiaircraft missiles and hundreds of planes, helicopters, ballistic missiles and other weapons made in Iran. The commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, Mohammad Ali Jafari, said during the parade in Bandar Abbas that the US should remove its naval forces from the Persian Gulf. Some of the trucks used in the parades bore signs with threats against Israel including one saying “If the Zionist leaders act rashly, we will turn Tel Aviv and Haifa to dust.”

Sudan orders Russian T-72s

“Sudan has placed an order for 170 surplus T-72 tanks with Russia, according to unidentified sources cited by the Russian newspaper Izvestia on 20 September.

“The consultations started in 2015, yet a final agreement was reached at the Army 2016 forum [held in Russia earlier in September],” Izvestia quoted one source as saying. “It is planned to deliver 170 T-72 MBTs [main battle tanks] from the defence ministry’s stock.”

Another source said the Ministry of Defence had been ordered to prepare 150 tanks that are currently in storage and another 20 for spare part kits.

Sudan is also in the process of receiving additional Russian helicopters, Yuri Demchenko, chief advisor to Rosoboronexport’s director general, said during the Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) show held in South Africa later in September.”

Well the Palestinians have decided a new wave of terror is warranted.   As if last years wave achieved so much. The PA pays Western aide money to the families of the attackers. That is what is fueling these senseless attacks. Stop sending aide to the PA and these attacks will stop. Palestinian attack article policies are in effect. Attacks are so numerous I will only post the headline unless it needs further attention. If the Palestinians are so frustrated why don’t they try peace?

Israel Police implements plans to increase security due to terror attacks

“In light of the recent terror attacks, the Israel Police implemented its plans to increase security in Jerusalem in preparation for the Jewish High Holidays earlier than scheduled. Instead of implementing them closer to the holidays, the plans were put into effect starting today. This decision comes after the Israeli Prime Minister held a special meeting last night regarding the issue.”

Palestinian incitement on social media sites increasing as Jewish High Holidays approach

“Israeli security forces are preparing for an increase in terror attacks as the Jewish High Holidays approach. During this period, the Palestinian incitement on social media sites is also expected to increase. A review of the social media accounts of Palestinians in the West Bank indicates that the increased incitement has already begun.”

Assad is sending a signal to Israel

“There is no doubt that the anti-aircraft missiles fired at Israeli Air Force aircraft overnight Monday were neither random nor a decision made locally. The launchers that fired them are located near Damascus, and the use of them requires orders from high up, possibly even from Syrian President Bashar Assad himself.

The timeline of the incident leads to a similar conclusion. The missiles were fired a few minutes after the Israeli strike, so as not to endanger the air force aircraft, which were about to land, but not long enough after it to have allowed for a series of consultations and green lights. Thus, we can assume that the people manning the launcher had pre-approval to respond “the next time” Israel were to strike in Syria. Early Tuesday morning just such a strike was carried out, and the launcher fired back.”

Israeli water sources are dropping

“Israeli technology contributes to help solve the world water crisis but the situation in Israel is almost as dangerous as ever.”

MK Glick cried: ‘Why was this place destroyed?’

“Migron was evacuated due to those demands [of leftist NGOs claiming that it was private land] and here we are four years later and what is there here? Desolation. Who gained from this? Not one millimeter has been plowed or sown, there is no construction here and no individual family has come forward to say it is theirs. Nobody.”

Glick explained that the motive of those who wanted to destroy the community was hatred. “Whatever happened here served to satisfy the appetite of those who hate Jewish settlements and communities. They had one goal: Not concern for the ‘poor person’ whose land had been stolen because he probably would have preferred compensation, but rather rejoicing in other people’s misfortune and the hope of evacuating a Jewish community.”

Is Glick the only one asking this question? When Israel gives up land they pay the price.

‘Israel should be concerned about Turkish incursion in Syria’

“Watch: Top Israeli expert Dr. Jonathan Spyer believes that Israel has very good reason to be concerned regarding current situation in Syria.”

US expresses regret over Deir-al-Zour airstrike

“A senior level member of the Obama administration said that the US expressed regret over the death of 80 Syrian soldiers who were killed in a coalition-led airstrike on Deir-al-Zour. According to the Pentagon, the target of the airstrike was an ISIS post, not the Syrian soldiers.”

I truly believe this was an error by the US military.  Something tells me Assad, the Iranians, the Russians, and Hezbollah will not believe it was a mistake though. Curious to see if the daily mortar attacks on Israel stop now.  By accident, the US may have injected some deterrence into the conflict.

Russian Basing in Iran is about More than ISIS

“Russia’s use of Iran’s Hamedan airfield may have “ended for now,” but Russo-Iranian military cooperation is far from over. Both states have indicated that Russia may use Shahid Nojeh Air Base in the future. This development is of limited significance for Russian military operations in Syria, since Russia has an airbase in Syria itself already. It may, however, be very significant for Iran’s ability to deter the U.S. and its regional adversaries. A frequent presence of Russian military equipment and personnel at Iranian military installations would add yet another layer of complexity to the calculations of any state contemplating an attack against Iran. It would further alter the regional correlation of forces and empower Iranian adventurism.”

Bible Prophecy

Why we should value prophecy

“When we read the Bible we need to remember that there are different kinds of literature within it. One of those types of literature is prophetic literature, which these days is either abused or maligned. People who don’t study properly either ignore prophecy or dismiss it. Others dwell on it to the exclusion of the other books of the Bible. Some mix man’s prophecies with Jesus’, thus twisting it and causing disregard of it by the saner members of the faith, but who still remain intimidated by it. The Lord in His wisdom gave us this Book with its different types of writing, and included in it are prophecies, which means this kind of literature is just as valuable as all the others.”

How Can We Know That Prophecies Are Real?

“Q. How do I show somebody with a limited knowledge of the Bible that the prophecies it contains are real and are an important part of scripture (I understand it to comprise between 28-30% of scripture depending on who you ask), and that the whole point of God speaking through His prophets was to give us insight into events to come and not just confuse us?

A. The best way to validate prophecy is to look at God’s track record. We’ve got nearly 6000 years to work with here but let’s just take the life of Jesus as an example. Even people with limited knowledge of the Bible know several things about the birth of Jesus from their childhood that you can use for this.

Scholars have identified hundreds of specific prophecies that were given between 500 and 1000 years prior to His birth, but the most popular ones are the one about Him being born in Bethlehem, (Micah 5:2), being born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14), riding into Jerusalem on a donkey (Zech 9:9), or being betrayed by a friend for 30 pieces of silver with the money going to a potter to buy a field (Zech 11:12-13). There’s also His crucifixion and the fact that the soldiers would divide up his clothes (Psalm 22:16-18), and that He’d come back from the grave (Isaiah 53:11).

The chances that just this small sample of the prophecies about His first coming could have been fulfilled by coincidence are too small to measure. But there are well over a thousand other things God also told us about in advance that happened just like He said. These prophecies from the past help us to know that the ones still in our future will be fulfilled literally too.

God said, “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do” (Isaiah 46:9-11).”

Psychological impact of the Tribulation: people will literally be scared to death

“By now (in 2016) most of the past prophecies have been fulfilled. There is one prophecy that has not been completely fulfilled however, and that is the bundle of prophecies relating to the time of the end of the end. We are in the end time. We have been in the end time since Jesus ascended, and will be until He returns in glory and judges all things, completes his 1000 year reign on earth, and then dissolves the Universe in a fervent heat and makes all things new. The prophecies remaining to be fulfilled describe all things through the end of Revelation 22, which include the Rapture, the Tribulation, the Millennial Kingdom, Satan Released for the Last Battle, and the New Heavens and New Earth.”

“Mayor Bill de Blasio said at a news conference at the scene of the explosion that it was an “intentional act”, but not connected to terrorism, as far as initial indications go.”

IDF prepares for national drill: 230,000 rockets towards Israel, war on 3 fronts

“1,500 rockets per day, hundreds of casualties and thousands of damaged buildings: Israel’s National Home Front Command drill will take place next week and will test the country’s levels of preparedness for worst-case scenarios such as all-out war and a powerful earthquake.”

Many people claim Ezekiel 38 war is near fulfillment.  But look at verse  Ez 38:11:

“You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’—”

Israel is about to drill for sudden hostilities on the north and south borders. I really don’t see how the Ezekiel 38 war is near when this is taking place.

Analysis: Israel suffers serious blow to intelligence gathering abilities

“The satellite orbits the Earth every 90 minutes, and would have given IDF Military Intelligence, as well as other defense agencies, advanced visual intelligence abilities, enabling Israel to keep close tabs on developments in areas controlled by its enemies near and far.”

“To be sure, IAI is already working on future spy satellites, and Israel has five working military satellites in orbit, meaning that if Ofek-11 is lost, Israel’s eyes and ears in space will remain intact.”

It might just be me but it seems as though Israel is preparing for something beyond  just the prudent measures a government takes to protect its people. In the last week, Israel launches a spy satellite, drills its civilian population for evacuation, and sees increased hostilities on it borders. And for the first time, in a long time, Assad fires back at Israeli warplanes.

It always seems like war can break out any moment but this week seems particularly worrisome.  Could this satellite have been rushed into service?   Hence the problems. A couple of weeks ago there were reports of increased Hezbollah and SAA troop movements near the border with Israel. People wrote it off thinking is for because of the civil war in Syria. But now we see a spy satellite launch and simulated evacuations in the north.

Saudi official warns Iran: Attack us at your own risk

“But if they are preparing an army to invade us, we are not easily taken by someone who would make war on us.”

Interesting words from the Saudis. I don’t think anyone believes Iran would invade Saudi Arabia with all that is happening in Syria. But a few things to keep in mind.

1)The US has shown a reluctance to get involved more heavily in the Middle East.

2)For whatever reason, now the US now seems to give Iran a pass on just about anything it does in the Middle East.

3)Free from sanctions, Iran might feel confident enough to do something very stupid. I don’t expect an outright invasion but an escalation in Yemen is a possibility.

4)Even Israel has toned down its rhetoric towards Iran. No one was listening so I guess they just gave up.

5)Assad is winning in Syria, we are nearing and end game. Even though victory is far from complete Iran might just start to make more trouble for Saudi Arabia and Israel.

Bible Prophecy

Questions About Israel And The Church

Q. Why did Jesus speak of raising up those who believe in Him on the last day? Doesn’t the rapture come at least 7 years before the last day? Also, is the New Jerusalem populated only by the Church, or will Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob have residence there. It’s difficult to believe they will live on the new earth but have no permanent home in the Eternal City.

A. If you look carefully, you’ll find that Jesus spoke only of the 2nd Coming. He never taught about the Rapture. In fact the very first clear teaching on the Rapture was given by Paul over 20 years after the resurrection, and then it was only for the Church (1 Thes. 4:16-17). Jews who became believers before the age of the Church began will be resurrected at the time of the 2nd Coming (Daniel 12:1-2) along with those who come to faith after the Church is gone (Rev. 20:4).

As for where they’ll live, this is why it’s so important to understand the difference between Israel and the Church. In the Old Testament Israel was promised that one day God would come to live with them forever in the Promised land. According to Ezekiel 43:7 this will be fulfilled at the beginning of the Millennium.

On the other hand, in the New Testament the Church was promised that one day we would go to Heaven and be with Jesus. (John 14:1-3) For the Bible to be accurate, both promises have to come true. What we think of as Heaven is really the New Jerusalem.

John 14:2 says it will be in Heaven at the time of the rapture, but according toRev. 21:2 it will descend to the vicinity of Earth after the 2nd Coming. Rev. 21:27tells us that only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will live there. The Lamb’s Book of Life is the list of those who are in the Church.

Soleimani’s presence in Aleppo underscores strategy of crushing rebelsSoleimani’s presence in Aleppo underscores strategy of crushing rebels

“On September 4, after one month of costly operations, the pro-regime coalition, backed by intensified Russian airpower, succeeded in pushing back rebel forces from the Aleppo military base, an important access point to the city’s southwest. A photo circulating on social media that was flagged by observers suggests that Russian special forces may have assisted in this operation. Heavy clashes continue in Aleppo’s neighborhood of Ramouseh, also in the southwest. Pro-regime forces have blocked the Alramousa road, the last supply route into the rebel-held part of the city that was opened one month ago.”

Saudi Arabia cannot pay its workers or bills – yet continues to fund a war in Yemen

“In Saudi Arabia itself, the government seems unable to cope with the crisis. The ‘Arab News’ says that 31,000 Saudi and other foreign workers have lodged complaints with the government’s labour ministry over unpaid wages. On one occasion, the Indian consulate and expatriates brought food to the workers so that their people should not starve.”

What happened to the oil rich kingdom? This is troubling because the Saudis help prop up the Egyptian government.

US military: Iranian behavior getting worse in Persian Gulf

“Since the international nuclear deal with Iran was implemented in early January, the number of incidents involving U.S. and Iranian ships in the Gulf has approximately doubled.

The Navy has counted at least 31 interactions with Iranian naval forces deemed “unsafe,” “unprofessional,” or both, according to a defense official.
That’s about as many such interactions that occurred all of last year, according to statistics provided to Fox News.”

That’s because the US government and military project weakness instead of strength. Iran does not fear the US.

For US and Russia, war in Syria is mainly in the air

“The 2 superpowers and former foes have found themselves on opposing sides of the Syrian civil war but have avoided direct clashes.”

The Islamic State – the Beginning of the End

“The defeat of the IS in northwest Syria and its retreat from the area has created a situation where the remaining forces on the ground are either pro-Russian (the Syrian regime and its allies), pro-United States (the Kurdish and CIA-supported rebel factions), or pro-Turkish (the so-called coalition of the Free Syrian army). This creates a potential situation for a political settlement between the Syrian warring parties imposed by the regional and world powers: Turkey, Russia and the United States. As this analysis is being published, however, an accord has been elusive.”

Patterns of Subversion: Iranian Use of Proxies in the Middle East

“Iran is actively supporting proxies in major conflicts in the following areas: Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, and the Palestinian territories. In addition, there is evidence that Iranian agencies are active among Shi’i populations – as yet without major effect – in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.  The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action adopted in October of 2015 has produced no major impact on the pattern of Iranian regional commitments.  However, the release of tens of billions of dollars in sanctions relief has enabled the Iranians, who were in some danger of overstretch, to now freely commit to supporting more strongly their various allies and proxies in the Middle East.  This paper will look at Iranian aims and strategy and will then focus on Iran’s involvement in a number of Arab settings.”

Iran’s ‘Useful Syria’ Is Practically Complete

“Helping the Assad regime establish full control in Damascus is only one part of Iran’s plan to create a regional Shiite crescent, and any ceasefire plan that furthers such goals could spark wider sectarian conflict.”

Bible Prophecy

Is Belief In The Rapture Required To Go?

“Q. I believe that to go in the rapture you must believe there will be one. How can anyone expect to receive something when they don’t believe it exists? The rapture fighters and non believers will get what they believe in. I pray and hope all will come to believe in the catching away of the saints, but I firmly believe you must believe it to receive it. What say you?

A. I agree where unbelievers are concerned, but as for the Church, I disagree. The rapture is one of God’s promises to the Church and comes with being a member thereof. (We become believers by being born again.)

In 1 Thes. 4:16-17 Paul said,

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.”

Paul didn’t say, “we who are still alive and are left and believe in the rapture” or anything to that effect. He said, “we who are alive and are left.” Period. And in 1 Cor. 15:51 he said, “Listen I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed.” The Greek word translated “all” means “each, every, any and all.”

In other words, believers will not all die first, but we will all be transformed from perishable to imperishable and from mortal to immortal (1 Cor. 15:53). This means very believer who is alive and still on Earth when the resurrection of Church Age believers occurs will be taken in the rapture at the same time, whether they believe in it or not.

By the way, these verses also deny the validity of the so-called partial rapture theory which holds that only worthy believers will be taken. In our own strength none of us is worthy, but because of the blood of Jesus we are all worthy.”

Redeeming The Time

Q. Not too long ago I sat under some teaching about the Bema Seat judgment. The teacher said that if we weren’t “redeeming the time” we won’t lose our salvation, but we would not receive any rewards. He said that according to Hebrews 10:31, it was a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God and that is exactly what we will be doing if we aren’t redeeming the time. He also said that the Lord won’t wipe every tear from our eyes until after the 1,000 year reign of Christ. So until then we will feel sorrow for lost loved ones and friends we fell short on preaching the gospel to. That is our punishment for not redeeming the time like we should have. Is this teaching true?

A. This interpretation really plays into people’s fears, but a study of the relevant verses shows there’s no Biblical support for it. It is true that some of our “works” will be burned up in the fire at the Bema Judgment (1 Cor. 3:10-15)

But the Bema Judgment is where winners receive their rewards (1 Cor. 4:5), not where losers receive their punishment. Remember, it comes after the rapture, when we’ll be in Heaven in our perfected state.

The works that will qualify for rewards are the things we’ve done at the Lord’s direction and in His strength. In John 15:5 He told us that apart from Him we can do nothing. The works we do on our own initiative and in our own strength are like the branches that are pruned and thrown in the fire (John 15:6). So the basis for the judgment will be the motives of our heart, not the outcome of our actions.

The phrase “redeeming the time” comes from the King James translation of Ephesians 5:15-16. The idea is if we just continue living our life the way we always have, the time we spend on Earth as believers will be wasted. But if we’re careful how we live and make the most of every opportunity we’ll be redeeming time that would otherwise be wasted.

In Ephesians 5:18-20 Paul gave some examples of how to do this, and they’re all about expressing the gratitude we feel for being saved.

Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In Hebrews 10:31 the writer was referring to people who “trample the Son of God under foot, who treat as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctifies us, and insult the Spirit of Grace” (Hebrews 10:29).

As is true throughout the Book of Hebrews, this verse is meant as a warning to people who think they have to add their own effort to the Lord’s death in order to earn or maintain their salvation, and has nothing to do with rewards.

The setting for Revelation 21:4, where John said the Lord will wipe every tear from our eyes, is at the beginning of the Millennium, not the end, and is a promise to the Church that the old order of things has passed away.

Israeli Air Force strikes Syrian targets in response to mortar fire

“In response to a mortar being fired into the Golan Heights, IAF aircraft struck Syrian military positions in Syria’s Northern Golan Heights. “The IDF holds the Syrian government responsible for what happens in its territory and will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israel’s sovereignty,” an IDF Spokesperson said in a statement.”

Hezbollah units regroup on Israel’s Golan border

“A large Hizballah force, backed by the Syrian army and pro-Iranian Shiite militias, is building up outside Quneitra, just 2km from Israel’s Golan border. The Lebanese Shiite fighters, under the command of Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) officers, are streaming into southern Syria, armed with tanks and artillery. Monday night, Sept. 5, Iranian state-controlled media shed light on this movement, reporting that the combined force had “completed preparations necessary for an extensive operation in southern Syria,” adding, “Hizballah aims to put an end to the presence of armed men in the area close to the border.”

The nature of the “armed men” was not specified, but the goal of the new operation was clear: after evicting the assorted anti-Assad groups, including the Islamic State, holding territory “close to the border,” Hizballah and its backers planned to regroup on the Syrian-Israeli boundary. This would position Iran and its Hizballah surrogate ready to realize their six-year old design, which is to open a second warfront against Israel.”

Israeli Official: Iran and Its Proxies Greatest Existential Threat to Israel

“We signed a peace treaty with Egypt and Jordan, and today we have four enemy countries – Syria, Lebanon, the Gaza Strip, which has an army of terrorists, and Iran, an enemy state.”

Police: Jews may not pray in Muslim Quarter of Old City

“A ban on Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount has been extended to the Muslim Quarter of the Old City, police officials say, justifying the series of recent arrests of Jews praying outside of entrances to the Temple Mount.”

Outer Ring (countries or terror groups that are close to but not bordering Israel)

Israel said to encourage Western ties with Sudan

“Jerusalem reportedly seeks to boost Sunni alliance to undermine Iranian influence, sees Khartoum as potential friend.”

Just a few years removed from bombing sites in Sudan Israel seeks ties with them. Quite the swing but I get the feeling things could easily swing back. Sudan has a terrible human rights record, best not to become to friendly with them.

Turkey Ready to Join US in Liberating Raqqa

“Turkey would be ready to join any future operation proposed by the United States to liberate the Syrian city of Raqqa from Islamic State, according to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.”

The more involved Turkey the less involved the Kurds can be. Turkey’s entry into Syria is about the Kurds not ISIS. One would hope the US understands this.

Russia and Iran’s turning point

“More important, however, is the overall context of the growing cooperation between Russia and Iran. Iran is already pushing for a large arms deal with Russia, which is liable to change important components in Iran’s military capabilities. Although such arms supplies have been banned by UN Security Council resolutions for the next few years, Iran might try to exploit its hosting of the Russian planes to seal the deal. Furthermore, Russia’s participation in the expansion of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, also under discussion between the two states, runs counter to Israel’s interests.”

Bible Prophecy

Luke 17, The Lord’s Other End Times Prophecy

“In Luke 17:20-37, the Lord gave us some additional information about the time of His coming that’s often overlooked.  But after you’ve gained the Jewish perspective from the Olivet Discourse and the Christian one from Paul’s letters, you can use Luke 17 to double check your understanding of the End times, and see if you’ve gotten it right. The fact that Luke 17 shares some language with the Olivet Discourse gives us a hint that they’re meant to be related. Let’s take a look.”

Russia, Iran and Turkey in the News, is it Time for Ezekiel 38?

“In this Prophecy Watchers television briefing below, Bill Salus explains the prophetic implications of the emerging world powers of Russia, Turkey and Iran. Does this imply that the 2600-year-old prophecy of Ezekiel 38 is poised to happen. Does the Israel described in Ezekiel 38 exist today? Is Israel dwelling securely without walls, bars or gates? Are they the wealthy nation that the Gog of Magog coalition seeks to conquer for booty and great plunder?”

Confirmed: The Arch Of Triumph Is Going Up In New York City On September 19th

“Do you remember all of the buzz about the arch from the Temple of Baal that was supposed to go up in Times Square back in April? Well, that project was ultimately canceled, but now it has been resurrected in a new form. In April a reproduction of a different arch, the Arch of Triumph, was erected in Trafalgar Square in London, and now another reproduction of that famous arch will be going up in New York City on September 19th.”

Followers of Different Faiths Attend Major Religious Gathering in Hamburg

“Leaders and hundreds of followers of different faiths, including Islam, Christianity and Judaism participated in a large interfaith gathering in Hamburg on Monday. Four representatives of the three religions made speeches at the event, during which all stressed the need for dialog and peace among the followers of all faiths.”

Don’t fall for it. Interfaithism is like mixing water and oil.  If all religions worship the same God then why different books that say the opposite? The Koran and the Bible were not inspired by the same God. Read John 14:6:

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Religions that minimize the authority of Jesus Christ are frauds. Want proof interfaithism won’t work? Look again at the story above about Jews being banned from praying in the Muslim quarter of Jerusalem. You see Islam comes with a smiling face and talks of Islamophobia and coexistence. But Islam really seeks to dominate, obliterate, and subjugate all other religions. Interfaithism is nothing but a way for Islam to take over.
