Articles of the Day 10/31/13
This is the best news for peace this year. What will has last order be?
“Sources in Syria and Lebanon blamed Israel for the strike. However, they offered alternate versions of events: while Syrian sources said the base was hit by a strike from at sea, Lebanese media outlets reported that Israeli planes were seen in the area before the blast.”
There were probably planes in both areas meant to confuse the Syrian air defenses. Their radar picks up Israeli planes in Lebanon as well as in the Mediterranean Sea. News reports suggest the S-125 (or SA-3) surface-to-air missiles were the target.

UPDATE: Al-Arabiya: Israel attacked Damascus, Latakia on Wednesday
According to this source Israel hit two sites yesterday.
“During the night, we noticed much aircraft activity,” an eyewitness told a Lebanese Al-Mustaqbal news outlet. “At a certain point, we were woken up by the sound of blasts and we saw a large fire and many explosions at the agricultural institute. Military and security forces arrived at the scene, put out the flames, and closed off the entire area for kilometers.”
This report says it was truck shipments carrying SA-8 missiles intended for Hezbollah.

The IDF understands Israel is alone. The political leadership probably understands it too. The question is will they have the courage to go it alone?
Thanks to the Obama administration foreign policy most middle east states will be nuclear armed within 5 years.

“This is as the Lord has ordained, James explained. Israel was being set aside for a time, but while His focus would now be on the Gentiles, the Lord was not finished with the Jews. After He had taken the Church for Himself (a hint of the rapture) he would again turn His attention to Israel, rebuilding the soon to be destroyed Temple and restoring the Old Covenant worship. He would do this so that those left in the world after the Church is gone, whether Jew or Gentile, would have one final chance to seek Him before the End of the Age.”
As always, succinct and clear from Jack Kelly.
Turkey is quite bipolar these days. They blew it. Israel won’t give them a thing. But if they do the cost will very very high. Good luck Erdogan.
