The Church Is Not The ‘New Israel’

There is a good article by Any Woods at Bible Prophecy Blog who lists the work done by Lewis Sperry Chafer comparing and contrasting the Church and Israel. It was a little difficult to read and look up the Bible references so I re-created it into a quick glance table. There is so much misinformation and lies in the world today. Much of it, from our own pastors.  Don’t let any one tell you the Church has replaced Israel. It has hasn’t.  Or that the Palestinians have more right to Israel’s land. They don’t.

Unfortunately, in Christendom these days there is a lot of un-scriptural teaching. Call it Anti-Zionism, Anti-Semitism, Palestinian Christianity or just plain stupid. God makes it pretty clear in the Bible their are three distinct groups of people. The Jewish state of Israel, The Church, and the nonbelievers. The Jewish state of Israel is God’s chosen people who happen to be Jewish. The Church is Gentile and Jewish believers in Christ Jesus who are chosen to spread the Gospel.  Israel and the Church are both used by God to spread the word, through Jesus Christ,  to the nonbelievers. Israel and the Church each have their own role to play, neither one can replace the other. One is not better or more favored by God. Both have made mistakes in the past and God still loves both. This is important to Bible Prophecy because those that teach a ‘New Israel’ ignore Bible Prophecy. They are leading people astray and open the door to more hateful ideas. Please note the differences between Israel and the Church.
