Articles of the Day 2/17/14: Thinking Outside of the Box
Rocket terror: What the Israelis go through about every day in the south.
“True biblical eschatology, which is a study of the end times, states that the false church that will be headquartered in Rome, Italy the seven mountain city will indeed come to power in the first half of the coming Tribulation Period, Revelation 17. This ecclesiastical Babylon will be led by the Antichrist who is referred to as the Beast some eight times in Revelation 17. Revelation 17:16 reveals that the world leaders, the revived Roman Empire, will rise up and destroy the false church and give their power worldwide dominion to the Antichrist, Revelation 17:17 which indicates that the Lord Himself will put into the hearts and minds of these world leaders to accomplish His will. This will then open the opportunity for the Antichrist to rule a worldwide economic Babylon yet in the future.”
What disturbs me about Pope Francis and Catholicism in general, is that they seek to twist the word of God in order to get more ‘believers’. Meaning they will conform too society (which is corrupt) rather then preach that society should conform to the word of God. I really don’t trust Catholicism and I can see how it would become the false religion of the world during the tribulation.
“A recent report from January, which the media has kept a tight lip on, has exposed the widespread human rights abuses of the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Hamas in Judea, Samaria and Gaza.
The report, from the Palestinian Independent Commission for Human Rights (ICHR), charges PA and Hamas for repeated cases of torture, oppression, assaults on freedom of expression and academic freedoms, as well as ignoring court orders.”
Makes one ask, is it right to take land from a democracy and give it to a dictatorship?
“Erdogan’s hatred of Jews, his authoritarian mindset and his Islamist ideology informed his decision to transform Turkey into one of the leading sponsors of terrorism.”
Turkey is an enemy, no longer a friend. Aside from Erdogan, the natural gas discoveries in the Med make Turkey and Israel natural rivals. The fact that Turkey is growing more anti-Semitic each day just throws hate into fray. Time for Israel to plan accordingly.
“Iran continues to present technological achievements in the field of military industry. The Commander of the country’s Air Defense Forces, Farzad Ismail, said that the missile “Bawer ” (Faith) made in Iran, has reached the operational phase of development and that it features more advanced capabilities than the S-300 Russian-made missile.”
More boasting from Iran about their wondrous military tech. Funny then that they wanted the Russian S-300 just a year or two ago. If Iran really had something close to the S-300 they would be exporting yet like crazy. Pure propaganda folks.
“A new concern is preoccupying Israel’s strategists in recent weeks. On top of the al Qaeda fighting strength gathering around its borders, they are beginning to worry about the high momentum with which Russian President Vladimir Putin is capitalizing on America’s withdrawal from the Middle East. Moscow is working through military pacts with Syrian President Bashar Assad and Egyptian strongman and future president, Gen. Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to dramatically deepen its regional foothold. This and Putin’s powerful personal backing for the two figures already have serious repercussions.”
This has to be concern for Israel. Starting to see how Russia gets involved in end times events. Putin sees the opportunity here. They have shown to be a great ally for Syria. The US has not been a great ally for Egypt. Ergo, time to switch sides. See why credibility means so much in International Relations? Obama has none. Putin has it in spades. Too bad he is evil. Once Putin gets his hooks in Egypt he can manipulate Egypt towards anything. The Israeli-Egyptian peace accord is dying a slow death.
“Iran’s surprising decision to move warships off the Atlantic coast poses a potential catastrophic threat to America from a nuclear or electromagnetic pulse attack, according to an expert who foresaw Iran’s move.
Peter Pry, an expert on EMP attacks, said the ships are likely a dry run for a future attack, a maneuver meant to lull Washington into complacency while also embarrassing President Obama and his effort to convince Tehran to give up production of a nuclear bomb in return for a lifting of some economic sanctions.”
This is likely more of a propaganda move by Iran. Coming at the same time as all the rhetoric from Iran. If it is a dry run I would think Iran would do this in the Med with Israel as the target. That is really their end goal after all. They could dry run attack both simultaneously against the US and Israel which would make sense if that was their plan. Attacking the US first make absolutely no sense. That all said, I believe Israel is highly vulnerable to an EMP attack. The US could more easily survive and EMP attack just because of its size and the complicated nature of such an attack. Most of Israel’s population and industry, however, is in a compact space. A missile from Iran (or from the sea) would not need to get in Israel just get near it (nullifying missile defense) and detonated at a high altitude. A submarine could launch this, a barge or freighter could do this. Syria could do this, or any Arab state for that matter could launch a missile near Israel. The only limiting factor is a warhead mounted on a missile. Iran can’t do this yet, but soon, the possibilities for them will be endless. In fact, an EMP assault could be how the next major conflict starts.
“A total of 32 Israeli Air Force fighters flew to Cyprus for exercise Onisilos-Gideon. Supported by six other aircraft, the warplanes carried out simulated attacks against land and sea targets on the southern coast from Limassol to Paphos.”
Onisilos is a Cyproit football club. Gideon means “Destroyer,” “Mighty warrior,” or “Feller (of trees)” or it could be referring too the biblical judge God chose to free the people of Israel and to condemn their worship of idols.
Also note the maps:
The distance between Limassol, Cyprus and Paphos, Cyprus is roughly 55km.
The distance between Arak, Iran and Qom, Iran is roughly 121km.
The distance between Qom, Iran and Natanz, Iran is roughly 154km.
The distance between Natanz, Iran and Isfahan, Iran is roughly 98km.
The distance between Isfahan, Iran and Bushehr is roughly 422km.
There are a few things we can take from this.
- The Israelis are simulating attacks on multiple targets at near the same time.
- Most of the major Iranian nuclear facilities are in relatively close proximity to each other.
- Four targets are deep into Iran, one target is near the cost.
- Source of an attack could emanate from Saudi Arabia (not too likely)
- Source of an attack could emanate from Jordan (again not too likely)
- Source of an attack could emanate from Azerbaijan (given relations with Turkey that would be difficult)
- Source of an attack could emanate from UAE (not too likely)
- Source of an attack like emanate from Israel, but they would have to evade Jordan, and Iraqi defenses. Probably refuel over Iraq.
- Bushehr is vulnerable to submarine missile attack.
One other thing, could Israel deploy an airborne unit in southern\northern Iraq and build a make shift airbase? Iraq does not have much in the way of an air force or air defenses. Israel could launch the initial attack from Israel and then re-arm and re-fuel at a makeshift airbase in the southern\northern Iraqi desert. They might be able to re-fuel and re-arm for perhaps two strikes and exfiltrate the airborne unit before the Iraqis could react, (who, by the way, have their hands full in Anbar). Not saying it would be easy but the Israelis could provide air cover for the base. The Israelis could get three strikes out of this operation before anyone would know what was going on. Would that be enough?
“The exercise codenamed ‘Onisilos-Gideon’ was held in Cyprus last week. It took place inside the Nicosia Flight Information Region (FIR), as Israeli fighter jets roared low over Limassol and Chirokitia for several hours. According to sources in Cyprus 32 Israeli fighter jets and six support aircraft took part in the exercise, including F-15 and F-16s. The exercise included simulated firing at targets on land and at sea, along the Island’s southern coast from Limassol to Paphos, the Cypriot side played the air defense role, employing the islands’ air defense systems.”
