Articles of the Day 2/21/14:When Enemies Are Better Then Friends
“Time and again, Sunni terrorists have succeeded in striking at Hezbollah and carrying out serious attacks in the Shiite group’s most sensitive site, despite unprecedented security arrangements taken by Hezbollah to prevent attacks of this sort. Hezbollah and the Lebanese Army deployed dozens of checkpoints across the southern Beirut Shiite stronghold in recent weeks, checking suspicious cars and people. And yet, Wednesday’s attack claimed by the Abdullah Azzam Brigades — the Lebanese branch of al-Qaeda — succeeded in overcoming these obstacles.”
You know it is God working when you see the enemies of Israel turn on each other.
It has happened in the past:
“When the three hundred trumpets sounded, the Lord caused the men throughout the camp to turn on each other with their swords.” Judges 7:22
“As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. The Ammonites and Moabites rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another.” 2 Chronicles 20:22-23
And of course in Syria:
“Sheikh Abdallah Muhammad al Muhaysini played a leading role in the mediation efforts between ISIS and other rebel groups, which have been increasingly fighting among themselves. But now that those efforts have failed, Muhaysini says on his popular Twitter feed, ISIS members should defect to the Al Nusrah Front and the Islamic Front.” (February 3, 2014)
And in the future:
“I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign Lord. Every man’s sword will be against his brother.” Ezekiel 38:21
So you see past, present, and future examples how God turns Israel’s enemies against each other.
“The Muslim Waqf [the Muslim religious trust on the Temple Mount, overseen by Jordan] is exploiting the religious autonomy it received [from Israel in 1967] and turned it into — with the willful blindness of all Israeli governments — near-total Muslim/Jordanian sovereignty,” Feiglin wrote in a letter to all 120 MKs ahead of Tuesday’s debate.”
“Flags of the PLO, Hamas and the Islamic Movement are flown on the Mount without fear. No security checks are conducted for Muslims who swarm the Mount through all its gates,” wrote Feiglin. “But at the Mughrabi Gate, the only one through which Jews may enter the Mount (as tourists) [parentheses in the original], the Israel Police strips Jewish visitors to their underwear out of fear that one might smuggle onto the Mount an Israeli flag or book of Psalms. Waqf officials follow Jewish visitors closely, following their lips to make sure they don’t dare to pray.”
Only a minority in Israel today are unbound by the blindness that afflicts most Israelis. The day will come when the veil will be lifted from all who are in Israel and Jews will demand full sovereignty over the Temple Mount. That day is coming soon.
“U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, who is trying to push Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA) to sign a peace agreement, is hinting that Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria may not be evicted from their homes when an agreement is signed.”
It is so merciful that the great and wise John Kerry will perhaps, maybe, if we are lucky, allow Jews to live in the land God gave to the Jews. For Mr Kerry, so wise and merciful, knows better then God who should live in God’s land. Mr Kerry, so wise and merciful, peace be upon him.
“Israeli and Jordanian officials signed a deal Wednesday under which Israel will supply $500 million worth of gas to the Hashemite kingdom from the Tamar natural gas field in the Mediterranean.”
There are many economic benefits to being a friend of Israel instead of an enemy. Imagine the economic benefit Arab countries of the Middle East could derive by partnering with Israel instead of being an adversary. How many Arabs could be employed? How many Arab children could be fed? How many Arabs could receive medical care in their own country instead of going to Israel? How many Arab families could improve their standard of living if they demanded economic cooperation with Israel instead of land? The Middle East could be a blessed region of the world if they only accepted Israel and accepted God. Is is just coincidence that most Arab states suffer economically while Israel prospers? Is it just coincidence that Israel’s enemies end up fighting each other rather then Israel?
“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12:3
