Articles of Day 3/12/14: Delusions of Grandeur
“This clear meaning of the Scriptures has been rejected by the Church ever since 400 AD due to anti-Semitism. The Jews were classified as “Christ-killers,” and the argument was made that God had “washed His hands of them.” Further, it was argued that the Church had replaced Israel and had thus become the heir of the promises which God had given the Jews. The wretched theology that developed from these unbiblical assumptions came to be known as Replacement Theology. It contends that the Church has replaced Israel and God has no further purpose for the Jews. Accordingly, the advocates of this theology argue that God’s promise to the Jews of a future kingdom has been annulled and has been transferred to the Church.”
“In light of statements made by the Palestinians, we are moving away from a peace deal,” Netanyahu noted. “They said this week they would never recognize Israel as a Jewish state and never give up the right of return.”
“I hope I’m wrong. I hope Secretary Kerry is able to effect a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Most Israeli Jews would welcome a two-state solution that protects Israeli security and provides the Palestinians with a homeland where they can rule themselves. I agree with this view. But, with the best intentions, the most brilliant of plans, and the most earnest willingness to work hard, neither Secretary Kerry nor anyone else will find a way to conclude a peace treaty. That is because the Palestinians will never accept any plan, no matter how reasonable it seems to the Israelis and the Americans.”
“64% of Israelis do not trust Kerry to take Israel’s security needs into account, while 60% think the US secretary of state is motivated by personal reasons.”
“Israel on Monday signaled it was open to possibly extending its missile defense system to cover neighbors Egypt and Jordan, Reuters reported.”
Pretty incredible. Could this lead to a defense agreement between the three states? Given the prophecy, however it does not appear as if the Arabs take Israel up on its offer. Defense and economic cooperation with Israel is in the best interest of the Arab people but their hatred blinds them to this reality. Sad.
“Iranian nuclear agency says preliminary agreement covers construction of at least 2 more facilities in Bushehr.”
Why not? No one is knocking out the other ones.
“A senior commander in Iran’s Revolutionary Guards threatened Israel on Tuesday, saying that Iran is keeping its finger on the trigger and is ready to destroy Israel.”
More threats from Iran. Delusions of grandeur.
“Kassam rocket fired by Gaza terrorists explodes in an open area in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council.”
“Saudi Arabia demands that neighboring Qatar cut its ties with Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood, close its Al Jazeera global television channel and expel local branches of the US Brookings Institution and Rand Corporation think tans. If Qatar fails to comply with this demand, Saudi Arabia threatens to blockade the emirate by air, land and sea. The threat was issued before Riyadh withdrew its ambassador to Doha and branded as terrorist organizations the Brotherhood, Lebanon’s Hizballah, Syrian al Qaeda-linked Jabhat al Nusra and al Qaeda-linked Islamic State of Iraq (ISIS).”
Make no mistake, Saudi Arabia will carry out this threat. They are armed to the teeth and they don’t if mind anyone notices.
“The interim agreement between Iran and Western powers last November is a “farce,” according to Lieutenant General (ret.) William G. “Jerry” Boykin. The former senior military official warned that the US has only one option left — to take out Iran’s nuclear program militarily.”
If only Obama were listening.
“The present negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 over Iran’s nuclear program have not even begun to address this Iranian activism across the Middle East, which continues unabated even under the presidency of Hassan Rouhani. It would seem to be completely unrealistic to reach any nuclear understandings with Tehran while branches of the Iranian armed forces, like the Qods Force of the Revolutionary Guards, are undermining the internal stability of states across the region. Israel’s interception of the Klos C has put this dilemma front and center for the Western powers to consider.”
“Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces spread a false story on Tuesday, claiming to AFP that IDF forces had opened fire on a car driven by Arab residents near the western Samaria town of Tulkarem, killing one. The death turned out to have simply been a traffic accident.”
If the PA lies about things such as this, can they be trusted on anything they say?
“In October 2012, the Jerusalem district court ruled that the house had been legally purchased, but Palestinian Authority Arabs who contested the ownership, encouraged by leftist groups, appealed the decision to the Supreme Court, and claimed that some documents of purchase had been forged.”
Lawfare is but another weapon the Palestinians use to harm Israelis.
“Many Bible prophecy experts like Hal Lindsey, Dr. David Reagan and Chuck Missler believe that Psalm 83 is an important prophecy for our time. Others, like Dr. Thomas Ice and Dr. Mark Hitchcock believe the Psalm is primarily a prayer of lament and not necessarily a prophecy. You are invited to watch a televised debate between Dr. Thomas Ice and Bill Salus that is presented by Christ in Prophecy TV concerning Psalm 83. Dr. Ice believes that it is “utter speculation” to consider Psalm 83 as a Bible prophecy. Bill Salus provides Scriptural proof that the author of the Psalm was a prophet. Moreover, Salus explains how the details of the Psalm apply to an impending Bible prophecy. Dr. David Reagan, the host of the program, concludes the show by agreeing with Bill Salus that Psalm 83 is a legitimate prophecy to be watching for. Both Salus and Reagan believe that Psalm 83 could precede the Gog of Magog invasion described in Ezekiel 38 and 39.”
