Articles of the Day 4/14/14: Outrageous Demands Follow Outrageous Appeasement
The housing minister commented on the housing market, saying he anticipates prices to drop in the start of 2015. Israel is currently suffering from a housing crisis, with housing prices having risen by eight percent in the 12 months ending in October 2013. “We’ve advanced construction in a meaningful way, there’s a 10% rise in marketing to contractors, and also in building starts and completions. Until things effect the market, we are working on a bridging plan for zero VAT (value added tax) with a budget of three billion shekels ($863 million),” added Ariel. During the course of 2014 housing prices should stop rising according to the minister, and by 2015 he anticipates they will start dropping. “For the moment I’ve privately advised my children not to buy an apartment and to wait for now,” he noted. “We need to build more in Judea and Samaria,” remarked the minister. “Also in Jerusalem we haven’t built enough. I will make every effort to build more, we need to build more.”
Why is this important? Because of a lack of land to build on, Israel is in the midst of a housing crisis. Building in Judea and Samaria can help alleviate the crisis. This is why the land should be annexed by Israel and not given to the Palestinians.
“JERUSALEM (Reuters) – Israel described as “unacceptable” on Monday remarks by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry suggesting cautious openness to negotiating a nuclear deal that would keep Iran six to 12 months away from bomb-making capability.”
The continuing appeasement by the Obama administration is indeed, unacceptable. However, the current Israeli government seems to be equally unwilling to do anything about Iran.
“Iran’s nuclear chief, Ali Akbar Salehi, said on Sunday that his country will need 30,000 of its new generation centrifuges to meet domestic fuel demands, far more than the current number, AFP reports.”
Outrageous demands always follow outrageous appeasement.
“Police have “lost control of the Temple Mount,” Temple activists charged Monday morning, on the eve of Pesach. Dozens of Hamas men have taken over the Mount, waving Hamas flags, and are “not allowing Jews and tourists into the Mount,” said the activists.”
So sad the Israeli government is allowing this. It shows that Arabs really fear Jews praying on the Temple Mount. They are showing us their weakness.
“The frequently violent Arab response to Jewish visitation to the Temple Mount has a history dating back to when the Wakf Muslim religious trust was given oversight following the Six Day War in 1967.”
“Israeli hackers have gone on the offensive against their anti-Israel opponents in revenge for the #OpIsrael hacking attack against Israeli sites and servers. After the failed “operation” by members of the “Anonymous” hacker network, Israeli hackers from Israel Elite Force took the fight to them – robbing them of their anonymity by posting details and even photos of some of the hackers on their website.”
“With peace talks on the verge of collapse, Palestinian Authority and Fatah representatives gathered to inaugurate a West Bank forest named for arch-terrorist Abu Jihad.”
“The Obama administration has been waging a secret media war in capitals across two continents blaming Israel for the recent collapse of peace talks with the Palestinians, according to former Israeli diplomats and Washington, D.C. insiders familiar with the peace process.”
“In her recent report to the U.N. Human Rights Council, High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay revives the bizarre charge, made by one of her colleagues in 2005, that when Palestinian men beat their wives, it’s Israel’s fault.”
“An eyewitness report indicates a Coptic woman was recently attacked by Islamic extremists while delivering medicine to the sick near her church in the suburbs of Cairo, Egypt. The attack is one of many carried out by supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood after the toppling of former leader Mohamed Morsi.”
Why is Obama supporting these people?
“Commando strikes, hit-and-runs and recon missions prevail as Lebanese Shiite group helps Assad hold on.”
“Special intelligence Unit 9900 is dedicated to everything related to geography, including mapping, interpretation of aerial and satellite photographs and space research. Within this unit there is a small unit of highly qualified soldiers, who have remarkable visual and analytic capabilities. They can detect even the smallest details, undetectable to most people.”
“IRBID, Jordan — When rebels want to return to Syria to fight, Jordan’s intelligence services give them specific times to cross its border. When the rebels need weapons, they make their request at an “operations room” in Amman staffed by agents from Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United States.”
“Bereaved families have filed complaints against the mayor of the Arab city of Baqa al-Gharbiyye, located in northern Israel near Hadera, after discovering signs around the city which show the terrorists who murdered soldier Moshe Tamam in 1984.” The signs read, “Today you, tomorrow all the prisoners” and “You returned as heroes.”
Lots of boasting among the Arabs these days because of the terrorist release.
“LONDON — The United States is pressuring Israel to attack the Syrian military in the Golan Heights. Western diplomatic sources said the administration of President Barack Obama has urged Israel to stop a Syrian Army advance toward U.S.-trained rebels in the Golan Heights.”
This doesn’t sound like the Obama administration. They fear any conflict they may have to get involved in. Why would US condemn attacks and leak information about Israeli strikes on one hand then encourage attacks on the other hand? No Obama fears conflict more than anything he doesn’t want Israel more involved in Syria. There really is no reason for Israel to get involved except to prevent the transfer of sophisticated weapons to Hizballah.
“[Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu has done much for the country, but he has no right to destroy it and give it to the Palestinians, or freeze construction,” he said. “This is not the land of Binyamin Netanyahu or his father, and they have no permission to give it away.”
And no you won’t hear HRW or Amnesty condemning Israel for destroying Israeli homes.
