Articles of the Day 5/14/14: Do You Believe In The Rapture?
“Israeli security forces have arrived in Nigeria to aid in the search for up to 200 young Christian girls recently abducted by the radical Islamist group Boko Haram.”
“Hundreds of thousands have been killed and millions displaced in Syria’s ongoing civil war. And still, the international community and the Arab world drag their feet, to the growing frustration of Syrian dissidents, many of whom are now ready to seek aid from even their worst enemy: Israel.”
“A major offensive against the Syrian army is under way in the south of the country, the fighting extending right up to the frontier with Israel.”
“In a response to al Qaeda emir Ayman al Zawahiri’s latest attempt at reconciliation with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Sham, ISIS spokesman Abu Muhammad al Adnani made a startling admission: Al Qaeda has ordered its fighters and branches to refrain from attacking the Iranian state in order to preserve the terror group’s network in the country.”
Interesting statement given that many believe that ISIS is actually working with Assad and that is believable because ISIS has done more to harm the rebels then Assad has ever done.
“A missile alert went off in the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council before 7 a.m. Wednesday morning after a rocket was fired out of the Gaza Strip at southern Israel.”
Stakes are higher since just a couple days ago Netanyahu said Israel will hold the PA (not Hamas) responsible for any escalation. Does that mean bombing of the West Bank?
“U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency has notified Congress of the possible sale of 48 torpedoes to Turkey under the Foreign Military Sales program. Turkey will use the MK 48 Mod 6 Advanced Technology All-Up-Round Warshot Torpedoes on its new CERBE Class of submarines.”
Not a welcome development for Israel.
1. West Bank and Gaza
Bit surprised Lebanon and Iran not in the top 10.
“Watch MK explain plan to have Jewish identity triumph Israeli identity, annex Judea and Samaria, and encourage Arabs to leave.”
