Articles of the Day 6/3/14: Standing Alone
“Local rocket production centers churning out thousands of projectiles in Gaza for Hamas, according to Israeli security evaluations.”
A major player in Iran’s Plan B for Syria is the commander of the Revolutionary Guards Quds Force, Qasem Soleimani. The plan was hatched during a visit to Iran last year by Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and leading figures from among the Revolutionary Guards. The plan is comprised of three elements:
1) The establishment of a sectarian army composed of Shiites and Alawites, backed by forces from Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Hizbullah, and symbolic contingents from the Persian Gulf.
2) The force will number 150,000 fighters.
3) The plan will favor importing forces first from Iran, Iraq, and only then other Shiite elements. This regional force will be integrated with the Syrian army or incorporated into it.
“A Palestinian gunman in a car started shooting at an Israeli border guard checkpoint at the Tapuach checkpoint outside Nablus before dawn Tuesday, June 3. The soldiers returned fire and killed the gunman, after a soldier was hit in the leg. He was taken to hospital.”
“The EU’s top envoy to the US said Monday that Europe was prepared to work with a Palestinian unity government backed by Hamas.”
Wow….just wow! The US and Europe are now supporting with money and political recognition a terrorist government that calls for the destruction of another nation and people. What if Israel did the same with al Qaeda (very hypothetical if not impossible but this is the same that the West is doing to Israel.)? How disgustingly blind the West is. Remember God will curse those who curse Israel.
“Deputy Defense Minister slams support for newly declared PLO unity government, ‘pretty wrapping’ for terror attacks and murder.”
“Israel says it is “deeply disappointed” by the United States’ readiness to work with the new PA unity government.”
Can totally understand Israel’s position here. They truly do stand alone. Please pray for Israel and pray that our leaders change their corrupt hearts. SO sad to see the West choose terrorists over Gods people. Very sad day this day is.
“Israel’s investigation of a major Hamas operative revealed several aspects of the organization’s violence and its various methods to fund terror.”
“After Hamas-backed unity cabinet established in Ramallah, Netanyahu calls Abbas a ‘peace rejectionist’”
Only a matter of time now before Hamas-Fatah launch rockets from Gaza and then Israel will have to to respond. Will they hit the West Bank? If they do the world will condemn Israel for defending herself. Israel will have no choice. They cannot allow Hamas-Fatah to attack Israeli civilians with impunity.
“Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman spoke before of students at the IDC Herzliya and said that “a diplomatic solution is important mostly in relation to the EU, but not to the Palestinians or Arab nations, because the Palestinians is the last thing they care about. ” Lieberman further said that “when you talk about a final agreement, as I see it, it needs to be a regional agreement which will include the moderate Arab world. It is much more important to reach an agreement with those nations, and then we won’t need the Quartet.”
Interesting what he says here,“it needs to be a regional agreement which will include the moderate Arab world. It is much more important to reach an agreement with those nations, and then we won’t need the Quartet.” The Quartet is made up of the United Nations, the United States, the European Union, and Russia. Lieberman is alluding to an agreement without these entities involved. Remember Daniel 9:27:
27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.
Given the biased nature of the Quartet towards the Palestinians, the Israelis may feel they might as well deal with the Arab League instead. With the threat of Iran hanging over the Gulf this could be plausible. Israel could attack Iran on behalf of the Gulf states with the condition that the Arab League back a peace deal with the Israelis. That would mean the Anti-Christ could come from the Arab League instead of any members of the Quartet.
“Washington’s rush to recognize the new Hamas-backed Palestinian government is only the latest in a dismal series of missteps, failures and betrayals.”
