Articles of the Day 6/25/14: Any Excuse To Murder
“The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) takeover of the only Iraqi border crossing to Jordan has set off alarm bells that Israel’s neighbor could be the next to find itself engulfed in jihadist mayhem. However, Jordanian officials and experts are downplaying the chances of the Iraqi scenario repeating itself in their country.”
“Two troops and their commander were killed by unspecified “terrorists” Tuesday night while patrolling the border in western Kermanshah province on the Iraqi border. Iran has boosted border security since ISIS seized large stretches of Iraq including areas close to their border.”
“Dr. Sallama Al Khafaji, a member of the Iraq High Commission for Human Rights, told AINA that on Saturday, June 21 ISIS began demanding a poll tax (jizya) from Christians in Mosul (AINA 2014-06-21). In one instance, ISIS members entered the home of an Assyrian family in Mosul and demanded the poll tax (jizya). When the Assyrian family said they did not have the money, three ISIS members raped the mother and daughter in front of the husband and father. The husband and father was so traumatized that he committed suicide.
“The Christians have told me that they cannot pay this tax,” said Dr. Al-Khafaji, “and they say ‘what am I to do, shall I kill myself?'”
According to the Arabic language website Alghadeer, four Christian women were shot and killed by ISIS members because they were not wearing veils. AINA has not confirmed this and this website is known to be administered by Shiites.”
Muslim terrorists will use any excuse to murder. The real face of Islam.
“WASHINGTON — U.S. teams of Special Forces going into Iraq after a three-year gap will face an aggressive insurgency, a splintering military and a precarious political situation as they help Iraqi security forces improve their ability to battle Sunni militants.”
“As Iraq devolves into a multi-party civil war, President Obama has moved one step closer to sending military forces back into the country. Yet the White House has not clearly explained what the proposed contingent of 300 special operations troops would actually do, other than some vague talk about advising their Iraqi counterparts. Veterans of the special operations community spoke with The Daily Beast about what the operation would likely entail and expressed their skepticism about how much it could accomplish.”
A symbolic move by the US President, won’t have much effect. I suspect there is a standing rule at the White House where no forces will be deployed above 999 personnel. All this President does is commit to timid, weak, and overly cautious actions. This President is scared of war. Not a good trait in the White House. Why these SF operators have to risk their lives because of the President’s pride should be questioned at the highest levels.
“WASHINGTON – The well-organized army of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, claims it has access to nuclear weapons and a will to use them to “liberate” Palestine from Israel as part of its “Islamic Spring,” according to a WND source in the region.”
I don’t think anyone believes they have nukes yet much less the expertise to use them. They are just capitalizing in the fear in the region.
“TAZA, Iraq — The villagers lowered 15 bodies into a mass grave here Monday. Two of the dead were young girls. The rest were men. All had been executed at point-blank range by al-Qaeda-inspired rebels and their allies, during what witnesses say was an attack aimed at destroying four Shiite Turkmen communities.”
As bad as Nazis, perhaps worse. More war crimes. Crickets from the ‘human rights’ community.
“The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria “is the strongest it has been in several years” because of recent gains in both those countries, the senior U.S. intelligence official said, an assessment that suggests the former al-Qaeda affiliate has rebuilt much of the capability it had at the height of the war in Iraq.”
All that extra cash and weapons can buy a lot of friends in neighboring countries.
“We understand their next big move will be against Jordan, and that is very critical because if that border goes down, then the threat to take down the borders into Israel becomes very apparent, and we know the ultimate takedown over there is Israel,” Vallely said.”
“Military aircraft that conducted air strikes against ISIS military targets in western Iraq are believed to have been from Syria’s air force, a U.S. official told ABC News.”
Lacking a dependable American response the Iraqis are turning to Syria and Iran.
“For more than a week, Gaza terrorists have continued to fire rockets at Israel. The attacks are increasing the rocket threat against southern communities, forcing the IDF to act in defense of innocent civilians. Following each rocket strike, the Israel Air Force has responded by targeting the activity of terrorists in the Gaza Strip.”
“The Israeli Air Force carried out 12 raids on Gaza overnight after terrorists fired more rockets at southern Israel, Palestinian security sources said Wednesday. A video apparently uploaded Tuesday shows a huge blast, allegedly as a result of an IAF bomb that hit the Zeytoun area in Gaza.”
“A short time after its attack against three Israelis, Hamas encouraged Palestinian youth to embrace its ideology of hatred and terrorism.”
“The Trans-Israel Pipeline from Ashkelon to Eilat is the real target of the increased Grad rocket fire on Ashkelon and nearby coastal areas, military sources tell DEBKAfile. Its momentum has quickened since the launch this month of a transit route for oil exports from the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) in northern Iraq via Turkey and Israel.”
“Palestinian sources say radical group that splintered from ‘more moderate’ Hamas fingered for recent barrage.”
“As rockets were being fired at Israel from Gaza, co-founder of Hamas threatens: “There will be no security for the Zionists over and under the land”; Palestinians report 4 wounded as Israel-bound rocket falls short into Gaza.”
“Palestinian medical sources reported Tuesday that a three-year-old toddler was killed and four members of her family were injured after a rocket fired at Israel landed in Gaza territory and exploded on their house in Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the strip. The four were evacuated to a hospital in the Gaza Strip.”
“Video shows Arabs from Hevron area infiltrating security barrier despite IDF clamp-down on area where teens thought to be held.”
“Dean of Beit El yeshiva calls for IDF to stop pulling punches; ‘if world gets angry and condemns, let them. Our response is just.'”
“Israel’s massive search in the West Bank for three abducted teenagers is undermining PA rule, say Palestinian analysts.”
“American company to collaborate with Israel Aerospace Industries to build an elevated network of hover cars.”
“US Congress approves $351 million for Iron Dome and $270 million for Arrow 3, David’s Sling programs.”
“Watch video of hundreds of Arab rioters curse and throw shoes at Jews at holy site, day after committee recommends keeping status quo.”
“NGO Monitor exposes hate content posted by members of group which lobbied Church to vote to join BDS.”
“For at least three reasons, the contemporary persecution of Christians demands attention: It is occurring on a massive scale, it is under reported, and in many parts of the world it is rapidly growing.”
