Articles of the Day 8/21/14: The Lord Warned About Lawlessness
Israel-Hamas Conflict 2014
“Overcoming previous record of 154 rockets during last operation, Gaza militants launch more than 150 rocket at Israel since last midnight; IDF recalls 2,000 reservists from leave; 60 targets attacked in Strip.”
“Our leadership felt bad about all of the tough press you’ve been getting lately and – given our talent for ruining Gaza while enjoying endless love from the media – we thought we’d share some pointers with you…..”
“In major blow to terror group’s military wing, two most senior commanders in southern Gaza eliminated in IDF strike.”
“Assassinations of Muhammad Deif’s founding colleagues in the Hamas military wing show Gaza’s terrorist regime penetrated by Israeli intelligence.”
“After Israel kills three senior Hamas commanders and makes another attempt on Mohammed Deif’s life, former Mossad chief Danny Yatom explains the process that leads to a targeted killing – from compiling a list of wanted targets, to execution.”
“Israeli Communications Minister Gilad Erdan, a member of the Security Cabinet, told Army Radio on Thursday that the resumption of Hamas rocket fire had brought Israel closer than ever to a decision to fully reconquer the Gaza Strip.”
Full takeover of Gaza looks inevitable at this point. Even if a surprise cease fire were to happen Hamas would likely break it.
“A 33 year-old man lay on top of children in order to protect them and was injured as a result.”
Israelis protect children. Palestinians offer children up for sacrifice as human shields. If you are pro-Palestinian you are on the side of evil. It’s that simple.
“The IDF has published a new declassified report that exposes the extent to which Hamas Illegally used public infrastructure during Operation Protective Edge.”
“In a bombshell revelation, Dennis Ross, the senior Mideast policy adviser to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton from 2009 to 2011, has admitted that it was he who was assigned the task of pressuring Israel to ease up on its military blockade of Gaza, in the events after Israel’s withdrawal from that region in 2005.
“I argued with Israeli leaders and security officials, telling them they needed to allow more construction materials, including cement, into Gaza so that housing, schools and basic infrastructure could be built,” Ross revealed in the Washington Post on August 10. “They countered that Hamas would misuse it, and they were right.”
“Israel says installation was not hit. Operating company: ‘Business as usual’”
Yet another desperate and weak attempt a to attack Israel. World opinion is a greater weapon then the Hamas military.
“The Gaza conflict has again revealed that Hamas is not alone in its campaign against Israel. It has a vast and diverse terrorist network that supplies it with the resources it needs to carry out its destructive objectives. This web of terror must be targeted. It is the only way to prevent Hamas from rearming and ensuring sustained calm.”
I agree terror supporters should be targeted. I think I would target Turkey and Qatar before North Korea though. Fully agree on Iran. This is really where the Obama administration is failing. They could use US influence on these countries but they instead give them a free pass. That is why terror is so big these days. The Lord warned about lawlessness and that is what you are seeing today.
“At the same time that President Obama has called for an all-out war against the “cancer” of ISIS, he has regarded Hamas as having an easily curable disease, urging Israel to accept that terrorist group, whose charter calls for Israel’s destruction, as part of a Palestinian unity government. I cannot imagine him urging Iraq, or any other Arab country, to accept ISIS as part of a unity government.”
“Economic minister Naftali Bennett responded to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s comments at a press conference Wednesday night, criticizing the MKs who sit in the Cabinet. Bennett said that that Israel shouldn’t be negotiating with a terrorist organization like Hamas and that his opinion on the matter wouldn’t change.”
A lot of people are telling Bennett to shut up but he is telling the truth. Netanyahu negotiated with terrorists and as a result there demands have become more bold and unreasonable. You can make the argument the reason for the current round of fighting is because of the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange. Hamas believes with enough world pressure and rockets Israel will cave to all of its demands. And it might.
“UNRWA has condemned the rockets found in its schools, but it has not condemned Hamas’ firing rockets from in and around its facilities, or any other locations such as residential areas, hospital parking lots, and hotels. All these have now been documented, often reluctantly, by journalists who have left Gaza, who have also made it clear that they were subject to Hamas surveillance, harassment and intimidation. Instead, UNRWA and its spokesman Chris Gunness have tweeted accusations, voiced hollow defenses, and cried on television. “
“A senior level Israeli intelligence official told Fox News that it is appraised that the head of the Hamas military wing was eliminated in the IDF attack in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza. There is still no official confirmation. Hamas claims he wasn’t at home.”
“Gulf emirate denies allegations that it scuttled talks out of self interest.”
“In reality, besides the color of their flags, its impossible to really differentiate between the two. Both want to create Islamic states. Both brutally murder, torture and oppress their political and religious opponents and citizens. Both use and brutalize children. Both drag dead bodies (they killed) through the streets. Both hate Israel. Both promote Jihad. Both are Islamic.”
Sunni-Shiite Civil War
“Both the president and Mr. Kerry took pains to sever ISIS from the religion of Islam. But ISIS speaks precisely in Islamic terms and holds itself out to be authentic Islam. The goals of Hamas and the goals of ISIS, to create a society on its own principles — “ugly, savage, inexplicable, nihilistic and valueless evil,” to quote Mr. Kerry — are the same.”
Very difficult now for the Left to defend Islam. Islam is evil and those who do not see that are truly blind and deceived.
“Amid reports of widespread massacres, IS fighters say they are ‘misunderstood’, urge Yazidis to abandon their faith.”
I think most understand quite well that IS uses fear and intimidation to convert those to Islam. This is how bankrupt Islam really is, they must force people to convert while Jesus simply asks people to open their heart. Again I ask, who is evil and who is good? Perhaps it is time for you too open your heart?
“Obama avoided specific mention of the other American hostages in Syria, and was vague on whether the U.S. would significantly ramp up its assault on the Islamic State beyond the airstrikes and small potential increase in troops in Iraq. A third senior U.S. official said the administration was well aware of the risks to the hostages once the strikes began, and would now consider as aggressive a policy as possible to obliterate the militants.”
We will see where this goes but for now the air attacks are still ‘targeted’ and limited to small areas of Iraq. To really hurt IS, both Iraq and Syria safe heavens need to be attacked. Still, I have to give credit where it is due. They have attacked more then a few trucks.
“Beirut (AFP) – The jihadist Islamic State has more than 50,000 fighters in Syria and recruited 6,000 last month alone, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Tuesday.”
“We who study prophecy have regularly warned that the US stands in the way of the fulfillment of a major End Times sign, the ascendancy of a Super State to world dominance. Whether it’s seen as a form of the European Union or an Islamic caliphate, everyone agrees something has to happen to get the US out of the way before it can take center stage.”
