Articles of the Day 9/15/14: Turkey a haven for terror?
“A senior level military official in the Northern Command warned that Hezbollah is being strengthened in Lebanon. “The instability can develop into a war,” he stated. It was recently documented that Hezbollah terrorists gathered near the border with Israel.”
“Senior commanders in the Israeli army’s northern command are warning that Lebanon-based terror group Hezbollah could possibly hold border villages hostage for several hours in sudden cross-border raids, possibly sparking a major war, Israel Radio said Sunday.
“According to the estimate, there will be a meaningful envelope of fire, there will be envelopes of observation and there will be a main force that carries out the attack, that will range between dozens and a few hundred fighters, in the war,” IDF officials said, as quoted by Israel National News.”
“Not for the first time, an Egyptian public figure has demanded the Jewish people give back the riches they received during the Exodus.”
It is amusing how Arabs pick and choose certain things out of the Bible but then ignore very important aspects such as the land being given to the Jewish people by God.
“In talks with US officials about the Islamic State this week, Israel has made clear that should the extremist group start operating in neighboring Jordan, it will not hesitate to act, Channel 2 reported Friday citing diplomatic sources.”
“A journalist working for a Turkish pro-government fringe newspaper denied Israel’s right to exist, accused Israel of terrorizing Gaza, and argued that Turkish Jews should pay for the economic loss in Gaza. Prominent Turkish Jewish journalist Rafael Sadi stressed that the publication of this article was illegal and the author should be prosecuted for hate speech.”
“12-year-old victim of Syrian civil war lost his sight from regime shelling. ‘We were taught that Israel is the enemy.'”
“Landlords are worried that their homes will be targeted by Israel if Hamas members are inside; Hamas official calls this trend “a dangerous one.”
“The rationale behind the tiny Gulf nation’s former friendliness to Israel may explain its current ties to Islamists as well.”
“War criminal Mashaal believes Israeli leaders should be sued in the Hague International Court.”
Islamic Civil War
“Several Arab countries have offered to carry out airstrikes against the Islamic State, according to senior State Department officials.”
“Ankara is one of Washington’s main allies in the region but has so far conspicuously avoided committing to the new military campaign.”
“But background briefings to the Turkish press suggest that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his government will refuse to give the United States more than the bare minimum of support: It won’t allow the Americans to attack from NATO air bases in Turkey and it will decline to let Turkish troops take part in combat operations.”
“As the U.S. and other NATO allies get ready to attack ISIS in Syria, Turkey has been further embarrassed by reports that wounded ISIS fighters have enjoyed free medical treatment in Turkish hospitals. The Taraf daily, which is critical of the government, reported on Thursday that nine jihadists, including a member of the ISIS leadership identified as Ahmet el H., had undergone treatment in hospitals in the city of Sanliurfa near the Syrian border. Turkish taxpayers’ money had been used to pay their hospital bills, the newspaper reported.”
I think the article over analyzes a bit. The reason is simple. The Turkish leadership is sympathetic to what IS is doing. Turkey also harbors Hamas leadership. Quite interesting that Turkey is a haven for so many terrorist groups around the world.
“It won’t be easy to strike all ISIS positions in Syria and Iraq. But the U.S. has already amassed several “useful” weapons systems in the region.”
“In reality, Ankara slowly made Turkey’s southeast a hub for every color of radical Islamist militant arriving from dozens of different countries, including thousands from Europe. The militants would cross the border into Syria, fight al-Assad’s forces, go back to Turkey, get medical treatment there if necessary, replenish their weapons and ammunition and go back to fight again. In an audio recording leaked on the internet in March, Turkey’s top intelligence officer admits that, “Turkey has so far sent 2,000 trucks full of weapons and ammunition into Syria.”
“Leaders of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood say they are departing Qatar at the request of the country.”
“The highest ranking member of the group residing in Qatar is Mahmoud Hussein, the secretary general of the Muslim Brotherhood. According to Rassd, a news agency affiliated with the group, Hussein is among those who will be leaving the country. The agency said they will be searching for another base in exile, possibly Turkey.”
Qatar seeking to be less public about their support for terror. This is just a symbolic gesture meant to reduce the heat. Interesting, the new home for these guys will likely be Turkey. So we could see Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood leadership both in Turkey. Tempting target for Egypt and Israel.
“Prime minister sends condolences to UK after David Haines beheaded: “The main difference between ISIS and Hamas is that these guys cut off heads, while the other guys shoot at heads.”
“I was recently asked to respond to seven reasons why Jews reject Jesus as the Messiah. These seven reasons have been featured on a Jewish “anti-missionary” website as part of their effort to discourage Jewish conversions to Christianity. In part one I responded to the first four of these reasons, so we’ll now conclude with my response to the remaining three.”
“Q. I receive emails that say that in America the religious and non-religious will be micro chipped within the next three years. This could include information for fitness, medical, banking, no cash payments, etc. Is this something that involves “the Mark of the beast”? Or does the “Mark”, as quoted in the Bible, have to include rejecting Christ and the Bible? With all the new technology out there, what is your view on being micro-chipped for anything?
A. According to Rev. 13:16-17 the mark to be required of everyone at the beginning of the Great Tribulation will contain either the name of the anti-Christ or the numerical equivalent of his name, and will be a declaration of loyalty to him. Those who don’t have the mark will not be allowed to participate in business or commerce of any sort. Those who refuse to take the mark will be killed. In order for what you’ve heard about being chipped within three years to fit this description we would already have to be in the first half of Daniel’s week aka the tribulation period, the seal judgments of Rev. 6 would already be happening, and the Church would be gone. As of today, that’s not the case.
Personally, I would be reluctant to be “chipped” for any reason.”
