Articles of the Day 10/17/14: This Is Only The Beginning
“1. A stint in an Israeli prison rarely rehabilitates a terrorist.
2. Terrorists who are freed from Israeli prison prematurely and return to terrorism are more dangerous than novices.
3. Sending freed terrorists into exile does not render them harmless.
4. Terrorists who boast that they will be freed before serving their sentence should be taken seriously.
5. Ours is the one judiciary that has been emasculated by this government’s repeated release of scores of convicted terrorist-murderers.
6. The release of terrorists does not win Israel international kudos.
7. Our government seems determined to keep statistics about Shalit Deal releasees secret.
8. 79% of Israelis supported the Shalit Deal. Most have since learned the above lessons.
9. Politicians change their incontrovertible, fundamental principles the way we change our clothes.
10. These lessons have had no impact on our leaders.”
“The Spanish parliament was set to vote on recognizing a Palestinian state on Friday, Al Arabiya reported. The announcement comes days after British lawmakers voted in favor of a non-binding motion to recognize the Palestinian state, and after Sweden’s new center-left government announced it would officially recognize Palestine, causing rift in ties with Israel.”
“Kurdish forces in Kobane say they have pushed Islamic State fighters out of most of the city, as US airstrikes intensify.”
“ISIS savages appear to have used chemical weapons taken from the abandoned arsenals of Saddam Hussein in their slaughter of ethnic Kurds in the Syrian city of Kobani last July, according to a frightening new report.”
“SANLIURFA, Turkey — Turkish warplanes struck Kurdish insurgents for the first time in nearly two years, Turkish media reported Tuesday, in attacks that threatened to further complicate efforts to persuade Ankara to join the U.S.-led coalition fighting the Islamic State.”
“We’ve published images before of captured ISIS fighters who were part of the Turkish MIT ( Turkish Intelligence Agency). If you wonder why the Turkish government is refusing to fight the Islamic state, and refusing permission to foreign military bases near the Turkish border. And should there be any confusing as to why Erdogan’s government is shooting at civilian Kurds who are trying to flee ISIS terrorists to safety, here is the answer. This report came in via Twitter from an independent Syrian news agency.”
“The city of Houston has issued subpoenas demanding a group of pastors turn over any sermons dealing with homosexuality, gender identity or Annise Parker, the city’s first openly lesbian mayor. And those ministers who fail to comply could be held in contempt of court.”
Persecution of Christians in the US begins. The day will also come when blogs such as this one will be shutdown simply because we preach the word of God and that contradicts the politically correct culture of the world. This is only the beginning.
“True biblical eschatology, which is a study of the end times, states that the false church that will be headquartered in Rome, Italy the seven mountain city will indeed come to power in the first half of the coming Tribulation Period, Revelation 17. This ecclesiastical Babylon will be led by the Antichrist who is referred to as the Beast some eight times in Revelation 17. Revelation 17:16 reveals that the world leaders, the revived Roman Empire, will rise up and destroy the false church and give their power worldwide dominion to the Antichrist, Revelation 17:17 which indicates that the Lord Himself will put into the hearts and minds of these world leaders to accomplish His will. This will then open the opportunity for the Antichrist to rule a worldwide economic Babylon yet in the future.”
The Catholic Church bares watching, something evil brewing there. The merging of religions, embracing of homosexuality by the Pope are disturbing to say the least.
Remember Romans 12:2:
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
“‘Moderate’ Tehran is gaining control over larger chunks of territory — Lebanon, parts of Syria and Iraq, and now Yemen, where a vital Israeli sea route is now threatened”
“Q. I really enjoy your website and thank you for your teachings. I was listening to a well known prophecy teacher on television and he said that there is no one in hell right now, that those who have gone on are instead in Hades until after the tribulation period than those people will be sent to hell at that time. Could this be correct.? God bless you richly in all things.
A. First, let’s clarify that hades is a Greek word that’s translated “hell” in English. So the two refer to the same place. Before the cross, everyone who died went to Hades. Once there they went to one of two places. One was a place of comfort they called Paradise or Abraham’s bosom. It was where those who died in faith of a coming Redeemer went. The other is a place of torment, where unbelievers went to await their final judgment. This is all described in Luke 16:19-31, the Story of the Rich man and Lazarus. Jesus promised one of the men being crucified with Him that they’d go to Paradise together that day (Luke 23:43). After Jesus rose again He ascended into Heaven and took those from Paradise with Him. From then on every believer who dies goes straight to Heaven to be with Jesus, but unbelievers still go to Hades, to the place of torment.
In Rev. 20:11-15 we see the Great White Throne judgment where unbelievers will be resurrected to face their judgment and final disposition. This will happen at the end of the Millennium. Verse 13 says that Hades will give up its dead, meaning that unbelievers from all ages who’ve been waiting there will finally be sent to their eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire.”
“Q. I`m still confused about the New Jerusalem (John 14 and Rev 21). In one of your answers you indicated at the rapture we would go directly to the New Jerusalem. In another answer you indicated the New Jerusalem would come into play after the 2nd coming. Personally, my belief is John saw the New Jerusalem coming down after the 2nd coming and we would at that time occupy it. What say you?
A. Lots of people are confused about this, so let me try to clarify it. I believe that at the rapture the Church will go directly to the New Jerusalem in Heaven and remain there through out the last seven years before the 2nd Coming. I believe the New Jerusalem is the place in His Father’s House Jesus was referring to in John 14:2-3 . Then after the 2nd Coming the New Jerusalem will come down out of Heaven with us in it (Rev. 21:2). In Rev. 21:9 we get confirmation of this. An angel offered to take John to see the bride, the wife of the Lamb and took Him to the New Jerusalem. According to Paul, the Church is the bride (2 Cor. 11:2). Jesus didn’t marry the city, He married the people who will dwell in the city.”
