Articles of the Day 10/30/14: A Jewish Martyr

Right-wing activist was shot: He was the First to fight for Jews on the Temple Mount

“Yehuda Glick, from those faithful to the Temple Mount, is the man who was shot and badly wounded in Jerusalem. A few minutes after the shooting his Facebook page was filled with wishes of a speedy recovery from his friends. “No matter what, the people of Israel will win,” wrote one of them. Glick founded the “Temple Mount Heritage Foundation” and headed it for five years. Just last month, the district court ordered him out of the Temple Mount complex.”

Doctors Say Yehuda Glick’s Life Still in Danger

“Temple Mount activist Yehuda Glick’s condition stable, but his situation is still dangerous – even precarious, doctors say.”

Glick: “Hamas Controls the Temple Mount”

“Glick from the Temple Mount Faithful was careful to emphasize at every opportunity that Jews going up to the Temple Mount feel threatened and are facing intense violence. In a video posted on youtube last month, Glick is documented turning to the Prime Minister and warned: “Hamas still controls the Temple Mount and is behind the violence.”

Report: Islamist Web Sites Targeted Glick for Assassination

“Terrorist who shot Yehuda Glick likely inspired by Islamist web sites; father says complaints to police over incitement were ignored.”

Arabs Dance in the Street, Celebrating Glick Shooting

“Arabs in Jerusalem danced in the streets and handed out sweets, expressing great joy over the attempted murder of Yehuda Glick.”

Rabbi Yehudah Glick attempted murder: J’accuse!

“The clearly targeted murder attempt last night (attempt only because Yehuda’s iron will and Israeli medicine are keeping him alive) of civil- rights-for-Jews- on- the-Temple-Mount Rabbi Yehudah Glick was a catastrophe waiting to happen. And now we have arrived at one of those defining moments.”

Ironically, the terrorists have done more to help Mr. Glick’s cause then he could ever do alone. The media attention on the shooting will focus people on the discrimination and violence towards  Jews at the Temple Mount. Good example here of God using evil to help the cause of something good. The terrorists created a martyr.

Islamic Jihad Takes Responsibility for Glick Shooting

“‘This is an act of Palestinian vengeance, in response for what is happening in Jerusalem,’ Islamic Jihad says.”

MK Feiglen: “Closing the Temple Mount to Jews is Rewarding the Terror”

“MK Moshe Feiglin tried to enter the Temple Mount this morning after the attempted assassination of Yehuda Glick, but was denied by the police. “The public that is now rejoicing in the streets of East Jerusalem, is receiving a reward for attempted murder,” Feiglin said. “The police and the minister, are not solving the problem, rather they are on the side of the problem itself.”

Reports: Muslims Allowed Back on Mount, But Not Jews

“Witnesses Thursday said that Arabs had been observed on the Mount, but Jews are still not being allowed to ascend.”

Twice in Three Days: Arab Ambush at Jerusalem District Court

Palestinians: Stop the Children’s Intifada!

“The exploitation of children in the fight against Israel has attracted little attention from the international community and the media. Human rights groups and the UN have chosen to turn a blind eye to this human rights abuse. Instead of condemning it, these groups are busy denouncing Israel for targeting minors. This strategy works out well for Hamas and Fatah, who can always blame Israel for “deliberately targeting” Palestinian children — an allegation the media in the West often endorses without asking questions. Even more worrying is that the Palestinian groups often reward the families, who then become less motivated to stop their children from risking their lives. Adult activists who encourage and send children to take part in violence should be held accountable, not only by Israel but by their own people. If these adults want an intifada, they should be the first to go out and confront Israeli policemen and soldiers.”

“Maj.-Gen. Yair Golan warns Israelis not to expect the same level of air defense cover that the South and Center of the country received during the Gaza war.”

UNESCO Harshly Condemns Israeli Actions in Jerusalem

“Hours before the UN Security Council discussion on the construction in Jerusalem, UNESCO protested Israeli actions in the Al Aqsa Mosque due to the fear of damaging the heritage in the city. “UNESCO rejects the Israeli steps towards escalation,” the Jordanian resolution that was adopted stated.”

UN: Israeli Construction ‘Violates International Law’

“In emergency session, UN Security Council discusses Israel’s plan to build new homes in Jerusalem.”

Really, there is  a UN law prohibiting people from building homes in their own land?

UNRWA-Hamas Symbiosis Detailed in New Film

“In a new documentary video entitled UNRWA Goes to War, journalist David Bedein builds a seemingly incontestable case against UNRWA, showing the close symbiotic relations between it and the terror group Hamas.”

Syria Special: Amid Its Offensive in the Northwest, Why Are Insurgents Fighting Among Themselves?

“Within 48 hours, headlines of an insurgent offensive in northwest Syria, surrounding and briefly moving into the city of Idlib, have been replaced by news of fighting between insurgent factions in the province. The initial claim, spread by the British-based “monitoring group” Syrian Observatory of Human Rights, was that the Islamist faction Jabhat al-Nusra “attacked” the Syrian Revolutionary Front — apparently in a bid to secure the leading position in the insurgency. Some activists offer a different story. They say that the SRF started the skirmishes, reportedly in and near the town of Maarat al-Num’an, and that local elements of Jabhat al-Nusra fought back. Residents called for both sides to cease fire, while other brigades reportedly halted traffic to stop both SRF and Jabhat al-Nusra reinforcements.”

Iraq Situation Report: October 28-29, 2014

Syria Daily: Iraqi Kurdish Reinforcements Expected in Besieged Kobane on Wednesday

“UPDATE 1545 GMT: As well as the Iraqi peshmerga, more Free Syrian Army troops are reaching Kobane on Wednesday. Reports of the arrivals vary between 50 and 200. A Free Syrian brigade has been fighting alongside Syrian Kurdish forces since the Islamic State attacked the town earlier this month. Meanwhile, claimed photos of the arrival of the Iraqi peshmerga, including artillery pieces, are being posted.”

Kerry, Qatar and the poisonous tree

“It would be interesting to know which Arab leaders are telling US Secretary of State John Kerry that the absence of peace between Israel and the Palestinians is “a cause of recruitment” to Islamic State. Is that something he is hearing from Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani? The Qatari leader, whose kingdom has been cited by the US Treasury Department as a major funder of Islamic State (IS), is certainly one of Kerry’s favorite regional leaders. If Thani did blame Israel for the rise of IS, then his statement would constitute yet another instance of the double game Qatar has been playing with the Americans. On the one hand, the regime is financing jihad, and other the other hand, it pretends to side with the West against the jihad that it is funding.”

Syrian Rebel Commander: “Western Attacks Aren’t Effective”

“A few days after ISIS took advantage of British captive John Cantlie in order to claim to the world that they succeeded to take over Kobane, now a Syrian rebel leader stresses that ISIS has succeeded to take over 50% of the city: “western airstrikes weren’t effective as we expected.”
