Articles of the Day 11/20/14: A Bad Place Eternally
“IDF says another rocket fired into the Red Sea Thursday morning, as Hamas seeks to ‘increase rocket launching capabilities.'”
“Full Video on Saturday Evening – An Iranian who once enforced the extreme Sharia in the streets of Iran has since become a Christian, and even came to Israel which he used to think of as the devil. “I had never met a Jew before, but I hated them,” he said during a visit to the Old City.”
Proof God can and will transform anybody. I agree sanctions are ineffective against Iran.
“After refusing to cooperate with UNHRC’s inquiry to Gaza, Prosor agrees to work with Ban Ki-moon’s established board – with conditions.”
This is probably a mistake by Israel but here is probably the hope they will be vindicated by the UN, I doubt it.
“Claims are circulating that Kurdish forces have pushed back the Islamic State after its three-month offensive in and near Kobane in northern Syria. The Islamic State has occupied up to 40% of the town, near the Turkish border, for weeks; however, Kurdish officials have said in recent days that their fighters have recaptured a series of hills around Kobane and have pushed the jihadists into the southeastern corner of the town.”
The battle is not over but I said before only God can save the Kurds. That appears to be happening.
“After several weeks of desperate fighting in which IS nearly overran entire town, Kurdish forces staging comeback, capturing territory and arms from retreating IS fighters.”
“The Islamic State’s international network is real. It remains to be seen just how strong it really is. With more videos released like yesterday’s, young jihadists will continue to flock to Baghdadi’s cause. While a smattering of established jihadists around the globe have backed Baghdadi, the Islamic State’s base of support is found in new recruits. That is, Baghdadi’s followers are predominately hotheads, young men and women who are emboldened by horrific beheadings.”
“It looked like a chilling scene from a Last Days, anti-Christ-takes-over-the-world disaster movie. Hundreds of Muslims take over America’s most notable church, prostrate on their prayer rugs as their unified chant echoes out in full volume: “There is only one god, he begets not and I bear witness that Muhammad is His only servant and Apostle.”
“Only this was not a movie. This was the scene, last Friday, for the first time in history, at the iconic National Cathedral in Washington, where orthodox Muslim clerics were invited to lead an Islamic prayer service. A congregation of hundreds were lead by an Imam in declaring that “god has no son, that Jesus Christ cannot be his son, and that there is no god like Allah.”
This is a bit out of scope for this blog but it is so disturbing I had to post it. Beware of Christian churches that promote ‘interfaith dialog’ or ‘religious tolerance’. All this does is force you to deny Jesus Christ. Tolerance might be fine if both sides showed tolerance but Muslims never show tolerance. It is all one sided. The Christian leaders that allowed this to take place have fallen away and are leading their flock away from Christ. Beware of churches like this. Beware of political correctness and interfaith activities. Islam wants only to dominate, not to coexist. Coexistence is a Western dream not based on reality. When Christians reach a point where they invite others in knowing they will deny Christ it is further confirmation we are in the last days. Repent please! Seek Christ he wants to know you and love you but if you approve of this ‘tolerance’ then you are in a bad place eternally. Jesus Christ is is the truth, the life, and the way, only through him can you be with the father, the real true living God.
“When he first comes on the scene he’ll quickly garner the world’s attention. More than just being likeable, he’ll be seen as a man with a brilliant future ahead of him, a charismatic personality who will immediately attract and hold everyone’s interest. And when he takes center stage after the Battle of Ezekiel 38, many will believe he has the solution to all their problems. In a world reeling under the twin disasters of the mysterious disappearance of millions of Christians and the outbreak of nuclear war in the Middle East, he’ll be a voice of calmness and reassurance. If it seems to them like he has an almost supernatural ability to get control of things and lead the way to peace, it will be because he does. He will be Satan’s man, masquerading as the savior of the world.”
“Q. I know someone who says she has a deliverance ministry. She says that all sicknesses and diseases are from un-repented ‘sins’ in us! She believes if you repent enough (asking God to show you all the sins connected with a particular sickness/disease) and you repent that you eventually get deliverance and healed from those problems! She says that God puts and uses these diseases and sickness so we will repent and be made pure and perfect, so on the Day, we will be able to stand before The Lord! My question to you is: Does God put these sickness and diseases on us?
A. This claim is easily debunked. When the rapture comes, believers will be instantaneously transformed from mortal to immortal, from corruptible to incorruptible (1 Cor. 15:51-53). God has neither the need or desire to put us through periods of painful sickness or disease to purify our earthly bodies, because these bodies will never stand before Him.
As for our sins, they were all forgiven at the cross. We already are a New Creation in His sight (2 cor. 5:17) with a righteousness from God that comes through Jesus Christ to all who believe (Romans 3:21-24).
I don’t deny that sickness and disease originally came into the world because of the sin of our first parents. I also know that many suffer illness from the effects of their sins, such as guilt, anger, resentment, hatred, etc. But to say that God gives us these illnesses for the purpose of perfecting us is a false teaching that casts doubt on His character by making Him responsible for the adverse effects of our behavior.”
“Q. I understand that the first abomination of desolation rendered the temple unfit for used in about 167BC and that the altar to the pagan god Zeus Olympus was set up in about 168BC by Antiochus Epiphanes prefiguring a similar abomination that Jesus Christ predicted would be erected in Matthew 24:15. In Revelation 13:5-7, the antichrist is seen in the future to make war with the church! Before the rapture, will the present church undergo prosecution like in the days of the first abomination when worshipers in the temple in Jerusalem were falling by the sword, burned, captured, or plundered?
A. Rev. 13:7 says the anti-Christ will be given power to make war against the saints and to overcome them. But in Matt. 16:18 Jesus said the gates of Hell will never overcome the Church. Therefore the saints in Rev. 13:7 are tribulation believers not the Church. Rev. 13:7 takes place shortly after the beginning of the Great Tribulation, and by then the Church will already be gone.
However, we should all remember that the Church has always undergone persecution, and is experiencing some of the worst right now. On average more Christians are dying for their faith in the world today than did during the Roman persecution of the 1st and 2nd centuries.
The only persecution the Church will escape is that which takes place during the last seven years before the 2nd Coming, the period known as Daniel’s 70th Week, or the time of God’s wrath.”
