Articles of the Day 1/20/14: They Keep Poking Iran’s Eye

Repent! The time of the Lord is close at hand. Open your heart to Jesus Christ. He is knocking at your door. Let him in and take up your cause before the Lord. Jesus Christ died for your sins, he was killed for them, he rose again and he will return again. Read Matthew 24:4-14 and ask yourself are these things taking place now?

Israel Borders

Northern IDF positions prepared, skies closed, Iron Domes posted

“Israel has placed its northern military forces on the ready opposite the Lebanese and Syrian Golan borders, closed northern skies to civilian air traffic and deployed Iron Dome anti-missile missiles in the Galilee region. These preparations were made in case Hizballah decides to hit back for Israel’s targeted assassinations of six Hizballah and six Iranian officers, including an Iranian general, on the Syrian Golan Sunday. They will remain in force until further notice.”

Israeli helicopters targeted 6 Hizballah and Iranian officers as warning that Golan is out of bounds

“But a new situation has meanwhile developed, say military and intelligence sources. The Syrian army has boosted its ground-to-ground missiles in Quneitra with Iranian medium-range Fatah-110s. Shortly before the weapons were deployed on Jan. 10, the Syrian Dep. Chief of Staff Gen. Ali Abdullah Ayoub arrived at the site accompanied by Iranian Revolutionary Guards officers in civilian clothes, advisers to the Syrian high command on Bashar Assad’s strategy for various fronts. The arrival of the new missiles followed that visit.

Two days ago, Hizballah’s General Secretary Hassan Nasrallah issued a reminder that his army has been armed with those same Iranian Fatah-110 missiles since 2006. He also reiterated that those weapons could reach any target on Israeli soil. Nasrallah was apparently referring to the same missiles’ improved vantage position if they were deployed on the Golan for easier and more accurate launches against Israel. What he did not say was that the plan that had been cooked up in Tehran was to attach Hizballah crews to the Golan-based missile batteries and shoot them at Israel for the first time from Syrian territory. It was this plan which the Israeli helicopter must be presumed to have aimed at thwarting.”

Israeli strike in Syria kills late Hezbollah leader’s son, sources say

“Western intelligence sources say that the terror unit headed by Jihad Mughniyeh, who was killed in alleged Israeli air strikes in Syria, plotted attacks on Israel.”

‘Six Iranians, including a general, killed in Israeli strike’

“Sources close to Hezbollah say 3-car convoy was hit Sunday, killing 12 people in all; Iran names one of the dead as General Mohammad Ali Allahdadi.”

Senior Qods Force general killed in suspected Israeli airstrike

“A senior general in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps – Qods Force was among six Iranians and six Hezbollah operatives who were killed in yesterday’s airstrike in southern Syria that is thought to have been launched by the Israeli military.”

The fact that Hezbollah\Iran have not yet responded with an immediate rocket retaliation says alot. The Israelis must still have a high up mole inside Hezbollah. This type of attack took inside information to accomplish. Too juicy a target to resist. The Israelis are killing high up Iranian officers with these strategic attacks on a regular basis now. At some point Hezbollah\Iran are going to say enough is enough and miscalculate by responding emotionally and launch a huge rocket barrage igniting another conflict.

Report: Hezbollah Nearing Bankruptcy

“Hezbollah’s woes worsen as Newsweek report claims Lebanese terror group on the verge of bankruptcy after oil prices plummet.”

Makes me wonder if the fall in oil revenue will push Russia and Iran into initiating war sooner then expected. The fall of oil prices is affecting several countries  at once around the world and could force the hand of many of them.

ISIS Cell Busted in Israel

“Seven Israeli Arabs arrested for forming ISIS affiliate in the north, prepared terror attack in ISIS’s name against IDF, Druze.”

Hamas said to be building ‘new generation’ of rockets

“Terror group also rebuilding tunnels, recruited 2,500 fighters to new ‘popular army,’ Israeli officials say.”

Canadian Forces Clash with ISIS in Iraq

“Canadian special forces exchange gunfire with ISIS fighters in Iraq, the first confirmed ground battle between Western troops and ISIS.”

18 Dead as Kurds Battle Regime Forces in Syrian City

“Unprecedented battle between Kurdish and regime forces rages in Hasakeh for second day.”

Could be part of a secret agreement between Turkey and the Kurds to push Assad.

Kobane battle: Kurdish fighters ‘capture strategic hilltop’

“The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and local officials said Kurdish units gained control of the hill after fierce clashes. The Mishtenur hill overlooks the embattled town. Monitors from the Observatory said its capture meant that key IS resupply routes were within the line of fire. The Observatory said 11 Islamic State fighters were killed and large quantities of weapons and ammunition were seized. A Kobane-based Kurdish official told the Associated Press news agency that the clashes had led to casualties on both sides.”

Who Are The Onlookers Of Ezekiel 38:13?

“Q. Re: The onlookers in Ezekiel 38:13. Who is likely characterized as Sheba, Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish (and all of their young lions) in this passage? I’ve heard that it may be a reference to a placated US government as well as some veiled reference to Revived Rome. It appears by the passage that they are questioning the apparent invasion in an effort to push diplomacy.”

Click link above for the rest. It’s a long one but good read nonetheless.

Problems For Pre Tribbers?

“Q. I have a question about 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. It seems to me this is a problem for the pre-trib rapture. Paul states “we who are alive and remain until the coming of the LORD shall not proceed those who have fallen asleep…” In other words, believers are on the earth just before the resurrection of the saved, which clearly occurs after the tribulation, then after they are raised (on the last day as JESUS stated several times in John 6) we who are alive and remain will be caught up with them…” Paul includes himself in a group that remains until the resurrection of the saved, so they have come through the tribulation. This is a major problem for me. How do you explain it?

A. When lifted out of the entirety of Scripture and considered in a vacuum, 1 Thes. 4:13-18 does not prove a pre-tribulation rapture. But neither can it be a description of the 2nd Coming. The Lord doesn’t come all the way to Earth like He does at the 2nd Coming, and while the Bible describes a resurrection at the 2nd Coming (Rev. 20:4), there’s no mention of living believers being taken to Heaven at that time. Quite the opposite, believers are described as coming back with Him (Rev. 17:14).

Believers alive on Earth at the 2nd Coming will go directly into the Millennial Kingdom in their natural state and will dwell on Earth (Matt. 25:34). So 1 Thes. 4:13-18 speaks only of a rapture. Putting it together with 1 Thes. 1:10, Rev. 3:10, Romans 11:25, Acts 15:13-18, tell us it will happen before the end times judgments begin.

And where John 6 is concerned, a careful study of the Gospels will show that Jesus never openly taught the doctrine of the rapture. He only spoke of the 2nd Coming. It was given to Paul to introduce this and he did so for the first time some 20 years after the resurrection.”

Op-Ed: The Third World War

“For the European leaders and people who don’t understand, I’ll try to explain. In an article I published several years ago I emphasized that the biggest silent conquest in human history is taking place right now. It is being accomplished by the Muslims who have invaded Europe, either legally or illegally. It is a religious invasion. It is the silent part of the coming religious war.

The openness, tolerance and acceptance of the European countries and regimes are well obvious to the Europeans but they are understood by the invaders as evidence of weakness and an inability to deal with the problem. The first and only country that daily confronts these issues, with a 20% Muslim population that opposes the very existence of the state in which they have full human and political rights, is Israel.”

Sisi: The Fight Against Terror Needs New Muslim Discourse

“Egyptian President says the fight against terror needs “a reformed religious discourse” which removes “false ideologies”.”

Sisi is right but is anyone listening?
