Articles of the Day 2/23/15: An Israeli-Saudi-Egyptian Alliance?

Repent! The time of the Lord is close at hand. Open your heart to Jesus Christ. He is knocking at your door. Let him in and take up your cause before the Lord. Jesus Christ died for your sins, he was killed for them, he rose again and he will return again.Read Matthew 24:4-14 and ask yourself are these things taking place now?

As the winter weather eased, Syria resumed its air strikes on rebel forces. DEBKAfile’s military sources report that Syrian reinforcements from the 7th Mechanized Division and the 5th Armored Division joined the 9th Division in the last 24 hours and were on the point of launching an attack on Tel Al-Harra.”

The Red Horse War

“Q. Re: Ezekiel 38 And The Rapture. Your recent post placing the rapture no later than the conclusion of Ezekiel 38, based on Romans 11:25, has changed my thinking. But what I can’t figure out is, if it happens as you say, what war will the Red Horse rider bring? Or does that mean there is only one war (Armageddon) during the 70th week, since Psalm 83 precedes Ezekiel?

A. The rider on the red horse will have the power to take peace from the Earth (Rev. 6:4). This will begin the anti-Christ’s efforts to subdue the whole world, which will cause wars and their consequences in various parts of the world throughout the entire 70th Week of Daniel. It will culminate in the Battle of Armageddon, the unsuccessful attempt to prevent the Lord’s return.”

The Parable Of The Wedding Banquet

“As I said, the Parables of our Lord Jesus are earthly stories meant to explain heavenly truths. Each person or object is symbolic of someone or something else. Understanding the symbolism is crucial to discovering the lesson of the Parable. In fact receiving the full theological impact of a parable requires such an understanding.”

More On the Lamb’s Book Of Life

“Q. In your book “Understanding Revelation” you explain “predestination” very nicely. It got me to thinking about all that and it made me wonder if the list of names in the Lambs Book of Life is the “full number” of believers. Would the full number be complete when the last person in the book believes?

A. Yes, I believe that the list of names in the Lamb’s Book of Life was written before the foundation of the world was laid and constitutes the “full number of Gentiles” mentioned by Paul in Romans 11:25, and when the last name in the book is saved the Church will be complete and the rapture will occur.

In Romans 8:29 Paul said, “For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son … ” To me this means God knew the names of everyone who would choose to become a believer before time and reserved a place for him or her in the Kingdom at that time.”

The End Times Sign of Jerusalem: Focus of Hatred

“Vic Batista: What does Jerusalem have to do with the preparation for what the Bible says is coming concerning the end times?

Nathan Jones: The city of Jerusalem has been in prophecy for well over 2,000 years. Jerusalem is the ninth of the ten end times signs Jesus gave us in Luke 21 and parallel in Matthew 24 and Mark 13. I would even call Jerusalem the “Super Sign” because so much prophecy concerning the end times revolves around what happens to that city.”

Will The Rapture Precede Ezekiel 38?

“Q. I have a question about the Ezekiel 38-39 war. This is a little confusing. The Lord intervenes on behalf of His land and His people and they realize His intervention has kept them from being destroyed and yet go on to build the temple. It appears that even the nations recognize that the Lord’s intervention has spared Israel, but they still do not recognize Jesus as their Messiah. Is that correct? And will the rapture precede Ezekiel’s war?

A. Your perception is correct. After the Battle of Ezekiel 38 the Jews, in fact the whole world, will believe that God has intervened on Israel’s behalf. There’s no evidence that the nations will be persuaded to follow Him from this, but in Israel there will be an official return to their Old Covenant relationship. We know this because they have to fulfill the last 7 years of the 490 period announced to Daniel (Daniel 9:24-27) in preparation for the Kingdom Age. In a sense they’ll be picking up where they left off 2,000 years ago. According to Zechariah 12:10, Israel won’t make its national conversion to the Messiah until sometime near the end of the Great Tribulation.

I believe there’s a good chance that the rapture will precede Ezekiel 38 because God will use this war to to remove Israel’s hardening toward Him (Ezekiel 39:22). In effect, Romans 11:25 tells us that won’t happen until the Church is gone.”

Gulf air forces display new-found confidence

“In recent years, the air forces of the Gulf nations have undergone a dramatic transformation, growing in both size and stature. In the past few months, the Royal Bahraini Air Force, the Royal Jordanian Air Force, the Qatar Emiri Air Force, the Royal Saudi Air Force and the UAE Air Force and Air Defence have all participated in multinational combat operations alongside the USA, UK and French air forces, among other coalition partners. In doing so, they have demonstrated their professionalism and combat efficiency, and they are today widely regarded as being mature and competent air arms capable of undertaking a broad spectrum of air power roles.”

Hero of the Middle East: Abdel Fattah el-Sisi

“The courageous, historic speech yesterday by the Grand Imam of al-Azhar University, the seat of Sunni Islam, calling for the reform of Islam, was the result of the even more courageous, historic speech delivered a few weeks ago by Egypt’s devoutly Muslim President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.”

Analysis: Egypt left to fight alone against Islamist terrorism

“While Jordan’s attacks on Islamic State after the horrific murder of its pilot were met with understanding from the West, Egypt received no such support.”

The US is not helping Egypt but Israel will. Israel will also help the gulf states counter Iran. Developments in Yemen have to be extremely worrisome to Saudi Arabia. The US is not helping much there either but again Israel will step in and fill the vacuum. There may already be an Israel-Saudi-Egyptian alliance created. There interests are served by working together. Ironically, the Obama administration unintentionally created the conditions for this alliance.
