Articles of the Day 3/6/15: False Promises
Repent! The time of the Lord is close at hand. Open your heart to Jesus Christ. He is knocking at your door. Let him in and take up your cause before the Lord. Jesus Christ died for your sins, he was killed for them, he rose again and he will return again. Read Matthew 24:4-14 and ask yourself are these things taking place now?
Inner Ring (Countries or terror groups that border Israel)
“Palestinian runs over 4 border policewomen and a cyclist, then assaults them with knife before being shot; police on heightened alert.”
“Amid shift of Egyptian forces to Libyan front to combat Islamic State, Israeli officials fear terror groups will retake Gaza border.”
“Cairo receives shipment of advanced anti-aircraft missile system from Russia, marking first deployment of long-range interceptor in Middle East.”
Shows the level trust Israel has with Egypt.
Outer Ring (countries or terror groups that are close to but not bordering Israel)
“Fighters of the Islamic State in Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) took over at least two oilfields in Libya and attacked another on Tuesday, according to oil and government sources.”
Revenue lost in Iraq replaced in Libya. Will Egypt invade?
“Unlike a rushed – and failed – Tikrit offensive in July, this campaign appears to follow the methodical military strategy honed by Iranian advisers in neighboring Syria, which helped President Bashar al-Assad regain some lost territory.
Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani, along with two Iraqi Shi’ite paramilitary leaders, has overseen the eastern part of the Tikrit campaign, whose religious overtones are borne out in its operational title: ‘Here I am, Messenger of God’.”
“Twice designated a terrorist by the United States government, considered responsible for up to 20 percent of American casualties in the Iraq war, Major General Qasem Suleimani, the legendary Iranian spymaster and leader of the Quds Force – the elite special operations wing of the hardline Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) – is now stirring alarm in Washington for doing something the Obama administration would ordinarily cheer: taking the fight to ISIS in Iraq.”
“(JTA) — Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei reportedly has been hospitalized with late-stage cancer.”
“Missile defense advocate says a THAAD system in the Middle East would be a “political chess move” in the current US talks with Iran over ending its nuclear weapons program.”
“In light of the forming deal with Iran, US Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Saudi Arabia in order to offer the Persian Gulf States a protection plan in case of an Iranian nuclear attack.”
Weak reassurance. The US also promised to protect the Ukraine. How is that working out for them? Obama also told Assad don’t cross a red line in Syria. He did and Obama did nothing. The US has exactly zero credibility right now. Especially with Middle Eastern states.
“Iran influencing entire Middle East through terror groups, and experts say that will continue regardless of deal on its nuclear program.”
“Syria’s al-Nusra Front has confirmed that its leader, Abu Homam al-Sharri was killed with three other leaders by a targeted Syrian air strike. Syrian state media said they were killed at a meeting in northern Idlib province. Nusra was involved in a major attack on the Air Force Intelligence headquarters in the embattled city of Aleppo Wednesday. Long an affiliate of Al-Qaeda, the group was reported about to break those ties and seeking arms and support from Gulf states. The three leaders also killed were Abu Musab Falastini, Abu Omar Kurdi, and Abu Baraa Ansari.”
“RIYADH/DOHA (Reuters) – Saudi Arabia is pushing for Sunni Muslim Middle East countries to set aside differences over political Islam and focus on what it sees as more urgent threats from Iran and Islamic State.”
“Although Turkey offers Iraq assistance in effort to take back ISIS-controlled Mosul, refuses to get too involved by sending troops to help.”
“An important interpretative issue in the Book of Revelation revolves around the identity of the 24 elders. Who the 24 elders represent can be very important in regards to the pre-trib rapture. The 24 elders are mentioned five times in the Book of Revelation as follows: 4:4, 10; 5:8; 11:16; and 19:4. If they represent the church, then it reflects what one would expect if the rapture has occurred before the tribulation has begun. If it represents someone else, then it would not necessarily argue against pretribulationism, especially if they were angels. I think it is clearly the church that these 24 elders represent and therefore it supports the fact that Christ’s Bride has been taken to heaven before the start of the tribulation.”
“Q. In light of the administration’s reaction to Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Congress, it seems as if the U.S. Government is beginning to turn its back on Israel. How can Jerusalem become a “city without walls” if its allies begin fading away? Will the current battle against ISIS/ISIL cause the Arab countries to form a strong coalition to defeat these terrorists, enfolding Israel into its protection in the process, thus leading to a fulfillment of prophecy?
A. The prophecy of Psalm 83 says that all of Israel’s next door neighbors will mount an attack against Israel and be defeated. This will cause Israel to believe peace has come, and that’s how they will become “a peaceful and unsuspecting people living in cities without walls” as Ezekiel 38:11 requires. Whether these neighbors will enlist ISIS to help, or whether ISIS will be defeated first, is unknown at this time. It’s too soon to see if ISIS fits into Middle East prophecy. One of the mysterious points behind the upcoming US treaty with Iran is that it will obligate Iran to take charge of the war against ISIS. Perhaps Iran will get its allies to help take ISIS down.”
Interesting, I had not heard Iran would be ‘obligated’ to anything in the deal. Realistically, Iran will fight ISIS because they fear them not because the Obama is forcing them. The deal is really just about how soon sanctions will be lifted and how soon Iran can ‘legally’ get nuclear weapons. They might simply obtain them sooner illegally. Without sanctions in place nothing will slow them down.
“Q. Re: No Second Chance? I would agree with you except for one thing. “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.” 2 Thes 2:11
A. The previous verse answers the question. “They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved” (2 Thes 2:10). As I said, 2 Thes. 2:9-12 support the idea that those who have refused the Lord’s offer of salvation will not get another chance after the rapture. They will believe the lie. But those who have not made up their minds in time for the rapture will have the opportunity to be saved during the end times judgments afterward. Otherwise how could there be so many Tribulation believers? Rev. 7:9 speaks of a great multitude that no one could count from every nation, tribe, people and language. This is not the Church, but a group of Tribulation believers.”
“My previous articles commenced a series on the rapture of the church. We began with the question, “What is the Rapture?” This question can best be answered by noting ten truths about the rapture from 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-58. We then moved to a second main question, namely, when will the rapture take place relative to the coming seven-year Tribulation period?”
“The Assyrian conquest of the kingdom of Israel marked the beginning of the dispersion of the Jewish people in accordance with the prophecy of Deuteronomy 28:63-64. The ten Jewish tribes of that kingdom ultimately ended up being scattered all across the Eurasian continent, from Assyria to China and even into the Indian subcontinent.”
“In recent years, the merger of Christianity and Islam is happening on a wide scale in the West, particularly in the United States where several bridge-building exercises between the two religions have been implemented. It is not good for the Jews.”
As I have said before, beware of attempts by others to merge Christianity with other religions. I can’t figure out if people who want this are that naive or just evil. Islam seeks to dominate…everything. There is no ‘coexistence’ despite what bumper stickers say.
“Replacement theology “is the view that the church is the new or true Israel that has permanently replaced or superseded Israel as the people of God.” Another term for replacement theology—one often found in academic circles—is supersessionism.
Replacement theology has been the fuel that has energized medieval anti-Semitism, Eastern European pogroms, the Holocaust and contemporary disdain for the modern state of Israel. Mike Vlach notes: “The acceptance or rejection of supersessionism may also influence how one views the modern state of Israel and events in the MiddleEast.” Wherever replacement theology has flourished, the Jews have had to run for cover.”
Another corrupt ideology. Beware of churches that preach a ‘New Israel’.
“Jordan has also signed a $15 billion 15-year letter of intent to import resource from Jewish state.”
It is looking more and more like Psalm 83 actors will be terrorist organizations not nation states. Jordan and Egypt acting pretty civil to Israel these days.
