Articles of the Day 3/10/15: One of the best ways to fight Islamophobia….
Repent! The time of the Lord is close at hand. Open your heart to Jesus Christ. He is knocking at your door. Let him in and take up your cause before the Lord. Jesus Christ died for your sins, he was killed for them, he rose again and he will return again. Read Matthew 24:4-14 and ask yourself are these things taking place now?
Inner Ring (Countries or terror groups that border Israel)
“An IDF officer was lightly wounded on the Golan Heights by gunfire emanating from Syria. The officer was part of a force on routine patrol duty in the area of kibbutz El-Rum. The IDF retaliated on the source of the fire.”
“Acting on direct orders from Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, Palestinian special forces raided the nine PA-ruled towns of the West Bank in the past 48 hours and detained 500 Hamas suspects, DEBKAfile’s military sources report. Abbas ordered the operation after discovering that Hamas had been hatching a plot for some weeks to stage an armed insurrection against the Palestinian Authority, starting in one of the Palestinian towns – possibly even the PA capital of Ramallah. They would assassinate him in the process of the coup. Of late, Abbas has kept his distance from Ramallah and his seat of government and spends most of his time traveling in foreign countries, especially Arab capitals, where he feels safer under the protection of foreign security services than he does at home.”
Often in history God would make Israel’s enemies fight each other. The same is true today. Hezbollah vs ISIS or Hamas vs PA. It is quite funny to watch.
Outer Ring (countries or terror groups that are close to but not bordering Israel)
“Islamic State blows up the only bridge across Iraq’s Tigris river in the Tikrit area, as anti-ISIS forces close in on the Sunni city.”
“DEBKAfile’s military and intelligence sources reveal exclusively that Gen. Qassem Soleiman, commander of the Revolutionary Guards elite Al Qods Brigades, paid a groundbreaking visit last Thursday, March 5, to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as guest of Gen. Faisal Al-Shoulbaki, director of General Intelligence and a close adviser to King Abdullah II.
The visit, encouraged by Obama administration policy, showed one of America’s oldest Sunni Arab allies, recognizing the direction of the trending regional reality to jump the lines over to Tehran. Iran’s grab for Middle East influence is now reaching from four capitals, Baghdad, Damascus, Sanaa, Beirut to a fifth, Amman.”
I hope it is not true the Obama administration condoned this visit but I would not be surprised. They seem to be begging Iran to take care of the Middle East ‘problem’ for them.
“Kurdish fighters repel Islamic State offensive in Hasakeh, as Al Qaeda’s Nusra Front battles regime in Aleppo.”
“Iran has revealed a new missile dubbed “Soumar”, which launched last week as part of an extent military maneuver in the Strait of Hormuz. This is a direct threat to all vessels sailing in the Persian Gulf, particularly to the US Navy. Moreover, the missile which ranges up to 2,500 km, poses a threat to a series of countries remote from Iran.”
Obama: “Nothing to see here. Move along!”
“Q. I find it interesting that everyone who believes in a pre-trib rapture never addresses Rev. 7:14. Just how do you have Christians coming into heaven out of the great tribulation if all Christians are raptured before the tribulation?
A. Rev. 7:9-17 is not about the Church. You can tell by their job description. They are not kings and priests, they serve God in His Temple (Rev. 7:15). Also, a straight chronological reading of Revelation tells us the Great Tribulation begins after Satan is hurled to earth in Rev. 12.
If you do a study on the Greek word translated “out of” in Rev. 7:14 you’ll see it means “out of the time, place, or cause” of the Great Tribulation. There won’t be here when it happens, they won’t be where it happens, and they won’t be why it happens. In other words these believers will come to faith after the rapture and become casualties of the Seal Judgments, arriving in Heaven before the Great Tribulation begins.”
“Q. You failed to use Matt. 24:31 in your article which is common among pre-trib believers. You will stand in front of God and answer for why you did not teach the full gospel of the tribulation and that the rapture happens just after the tribulation of those days. You also fail to realize 1 Thes. 5:9 does not mean the rapture because God has the power to protect Christians from his wrath on the earth just as he protected the Jews from Egypt. Nowhere in the Word can you point out that the Word specifically states that the rapture is before the tribulation.
A. In Matt. 24 the topic is Israel in the end times. Jesus never mentioned either the Church or the rapture there. In fact you can’t find a clear teaching on the rapture anywhere in the Gospels. Paul was the first to introduce the doctrine of the rapture, 20 years after the cross. And notice Matt. 24:31 says Jesus will send the angels to gather His elect from one end of Heaven to the other. Whoever He’s gathering is already there. By the way, the word “elect” in Matt. 24:22 and 31 can refer to the church. But it can also refer to Israel, as it does in Isaiah 42:1, 45:4, 65:9, 65:22. And in 1 Tim. 5:21 it even refers to angels. Based on the context of Matt. 24 we can’t assume it refers to the Church.
Yes, God could protect the Church through the time of God’s wrath, but that’s not what scripture says. In 1 Thes. 1:10 Paul said Jesus would rescue us from the coming wrath. The Greek word translated “from” means a separation of both time and distance. In other words we won’t be here when it begins.
In Acts 15:13-18 James said Jesus would take a people from (out of) the gentiles before He turns again to Israel. The Greek word for take means “to take for oneself, to carry away”. It means the Church will be “carried away” before Daniel’s 70th Week begins.
In Rev 3:10 Jesus said He would keep us from the hour of trial that’s coming upon the whole world. It doesn’t say keep us through the hour of trial, and the Greek word translated “from” means “out of the time, place, or cause”. Jesus promised the Church won’t be here when the end times judgments begin.”
I can just hear Jack Kelly sigh after he read this question. Good answer.
“Recently I was reading a new book on Revelation by an author who subscribes to the pre-wrath rapture position. I don’t recommend this or any other mid-trib, pre-wrath, or post-trib book. I only read them myself because my belief in the pre-trib position is solid enough to not be shaken, and I feel the need to know about the current thinking on other positions in case I’m asked.
When you depart from a literal, contextual interpretation of Scripture, as you have to do when you’re trying to justify the other rapture positions, anything becomes possible. For that reason some of these books, like the one I just read, are so far off the mark as to be ludicrous. But there are two things they all seem to have in common. One is their confusion about the difference between tribulation and the Great Tribulation and the other is the meaning and duration of the phrase “wrath of God.”
“Q. In the last year I have been studying the “Hebrew roots” of my Christianity and am now in AWE more profoundly than ever – of God’s patterns I’m discovering. Partly in thanks to your website I understand in a more straightforward way, the prophetic significance of the Spring Holy Days (Passover/Unleavened Bread/First Fruits) and the first coming of our Jesus the Christ. That – and also the likelihood of Jesus’ birth being sometime during Sukkot and his conception being sometime during Hanukkah! Simply Amazing!
My question is – given how God’s ordained Holy Days are directly related Jesus, and how it is likely that the Autumn Holy Days also relate to His second-coming, wouldn’t the Rapture likely occur during one of these God-ordained Holy Festivals in autumn? That still wouldn’t be pin-pointing a day or an hour if it occurred “some time” within, say, an 8 day festival – right?
A. I think it’s reasonable to assume that since the spring feasts were fulfilled in the Messiah’s first coming, then the Fall feasts will be fulfilled in the 2nd coming. But keep in mind that these feasts are Jewish and concern Israel. The Lord’s fulfillment of these feasts relates more to His relationship with Israel than to anything else.
The Rapture, involving only the Church, is a separate event and doesn’t belong to Israel. (Galatians 3:26-28) Besides, the Rapture is a number specific event, not a date specific one, and will happen as soon as the Church receives its full number (Romans 11:25). That’s why no one can know the time of its occurrence in advance.”
“God’s purpose for the tribulation (i.e., the seven-year, 70th week of Daniel) revolves around His plan for Israel and does not include an earthly presence for the church. Why? Because God’s plan for Israel is unfinished at this point in history. When the role of the church is completed she will be taken as a completed body to heaven in an instant – at the rapture. This will clear the way for a restoration and resumption of progress toward the completion of our Sovereign Lord’s plans for His elect nation – Israel.”
“STRASBOURG (Reuters) – King Abdullah of Jordan urged Europeans on Tuesday to fight hostility toward Islam that he said was fuelling extremism among Muslims, including those drawn from Europe to fight in the Middle East.”
One of the best ways to fight Islamophobia is for Muslims to stop attacking and killing innocent people around the world. Islamophobia is fictional. It is not Christians who are preaching hate in their churches it is Muslims. People naturally react with fear when they are targeted by a group of people. Supporters of Islam often use the term Islamophobia to blame the victims of Islamic terror. It is not politically correct to hold Muslims accountable for their actions but it is the right thing to do.
“Ambassador says Israel and the Arabs are in total agreement ‘once a century’ – so people should pay attention.”
This shows the myopic view the Obama administration has. They are ignoring what other regional nations are saying about the deal. None of them like the deal. No one likes the deal except for Iran. Doesn’t that tell you something? It is too bad only Israel is the one saying this publicly though. If other countries were to publicly voice there opinion the Obama administration might be force to listen.
“The air and ground campaign launched Sunday by Niger and Chad targets Boko Haram in the northeastern Nigerian Borno state, shortly after the Islamist terrorists pledged allegiance to the Islamic State. ISIS. Boko Haram has murdered thousands in a six-year Islamist insurgency in Nigeria, the violence increasingly spilling over into neighboring states.”
“Anat Roth tells of her remarkable journey from the far-left to the nationalist camp, and how she’s symbolic of a wider Israeli awakening.”
It is tough being a Leftoholic.
“The fact that the speech even happened was bananas. Netanyahu was invited by House Speaker John Boehner, who declined to ask the White House whether it would be OK for a foreign head of state to come preach to Congress about the dangers of the administration’s impending nuclear deal with Iran. Obama didn’t meet with Netanyahu during his visit, and Democrats—including usually staunch defenders of Israel—didn’t hide how upset they were over the Israeli prime minister’s heavy-handed slight.”
The people on the Left like to ponder this question because it is there deep desire to see it happen. I don’t know why. Israel never did anything to Lefties. In fact, many Jews are staunch Lefties. This I never understood either. The Left is infected by antisemitism. It seems to me people of the Left are highly influence by Satan. It is no coincidence most, if not all, atheists are also Lefties.
