Articles of the Day 3/31/15: 10 Toes Ascending?
Repent! The time of the Lord is close at hand. Open your heart to Jesus Christ. He is knocking at your door. Let him in and take up your cause before the Lord. Jesus Christ died for your sins, he was killed for them, he rose again and he will return again. Read Matthew 24:4-14 and ask yourself are these things taking place now?
Inner Ring (Countries or terror groups that border Israel)
“What happens in Syria, happens in Lebanon [in terms of weapons availability], and vice versa. I’ll go a step further and say that everything that happens in Iran can end up in Syria, which can then end up in Lebanon,” the source stated. “In the event of war with Hezbollah in Lebanon, I’m not sure Syria will remain on the sidelines. Hezbollah assists the Assad regime, and the help is mutual.”
“Hezbollah, he continued, “is getting a lot of accurate weapons from Iran. It is in a very different place compared to the Second Lebanon War in 2006.”
Outer Ring (countries or terror groups that are close to but not bordering Israel)
“Joint operation by Hezbollah, Revolutionary Guards and Syrian forces, designed to clear opposition near Israel’s border, grinds to halt.”
“While rebels and opposition groups try to establish arrangements to govern Idlib after capturing the provincial capital on Saturday, the Assad regime appears to be gripped with uncertainty about its response to the loss in northwest Syria.”
“After the Saudis achieved control of Yemen’s skies in five days, the Saudi and Egyptian fleets are blockading the country’s ports to stop the rebels receiving fresh arms supplies from Iran.”
“As talks over Iran’s nuclear weapons program neared their deadline Tuesday, the Commander of Iran’s Basij (volunteer) Force, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi, was quoted as saying that “wiping Israel off the map is not up for negotiation.”
Well it sure is a good thing the nuke program is for peaceful purposes then. It is so reassuring Iran can be trusted and Obama knows what is best for Israeli security. Otherwise, I would be worried.
“Prolonged electricity outages in 40 Turkish cities, including Ankara and Istanbul, raised the suspicion that the country had Tuesday come under cyber attack. Huge traffic gridlocks, thousands trapped in elevators and air traffic chaos caused by control tower shutdowns forced the prime minister Ahmed Davutoglu to inform the public that the breakdowns were under investigation, including the possibility of cyber attacks on the control systems of main power stations across the country. By day’s end 65 percent of power had been restored.”
Is it a cyber attack or is the Turkish government covering up failed infrastructure?
“Heads of the 22-nation Arab League meeting at the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh agreed Sunday to the principle of creating a joint Arab military force to counter threats to the security of any member. Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi said a high-level panel will, under the supervision of Arab chiefs of staff, determine within four months the structure and mechanism of the force, which Egyptian officials say it would be made up of around 40,000 elite troops and backed by jets, warships and light armor. The summit agreed that Saudi-led air strikes in Yemen, further south on the Red Sea would continue until “Shiite rebels withdraw and surrender their weapons.”
“Yemeni Foreign Minister said he expects nine member Arab coalition troops to be inside Yemen soon.”
“If you were asked to describe the fundamental message of end time Bible prophecy, what would you say? What is the message to the believer? What is its message to the unbeliever? A panel of 15 Bible prophecy experts answers those very questions! To find out, read or watch below.”
“Q. In ll Thes. 2:7-8 it’s telling us that the restrainer is not taken out of the way until just before the antichrist is revealed when he stands in the temple and claims himself to be God. This is the middle of the tribulation. Can you shed some light on this? Because I’m really looking forward to getting out of here!
A. Looking through all the English translations of 2 Thes. 2:7-8 I didn’t see any that say the restrainer will not be taken out of the way until just before the anti-Christ is revealed by standing in the Temple. They all look like this;
For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed …
All this tells us is that the restrainer will be taken out of the way before the anti-Christ is revealed. It doesn’t say how long before.
But in 1 Thes. 1:10 Paul said Jesus would rescue us from the coming wrath. The Greek word translated “from” means out of both the time and place of the coming wrath, so we won’t be here when it begins and we won’t be here where it begins. In effect, Rev. 6:16-17 tells us the wrath will begin with the seal judgments. They will take place at the beginning of Daniel’s 70th Week.”
“Q. I am confused by Luke 21 and hope you can clarify it for me. Does this chapter concern the Tribulation period? If so, and if we believe the Rapture won’t happen until the ‘times of the Gentiles be fulfilled’ then Luke 21:24 appears to mean the Rapture won’t be experienced until sometime during the Tribulation, and yet that seams to be contradicted in Luke 21:36.
A. Luke 21 contains descriptions of both the 1st century destruction of Jerusalem (20-24) and the Great Tribulation (25-28).
But I think your confusion comes from not differentiating between the times of the Gentiles in Luke 21:24 and the fullness (full number) of the Gentiles in Romans 11:25. The two are not the same.
The times of the gentiles is the period of time from the rise of Babylon in the 6th century BC to the establishment of the 2nd Coming. This is symbolized in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream of Daniel 2.
The fullness, or full number, of the Gentiles refers to the predetermined number of believers who will become part of the Church. When this number has been reached the rapture of the church will take place and the Lord will turn His attention again to Israel.”
“Q. I have a question about the statue in Daniel chapter 2. Could it be possible for the US to be the toes? We have European roots and our government has similarities to Rome. Our people are a mixture and the way things are heading, looks like soon we will no longer be united, as a people. It also states, “in the time of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people.”
A. Some see the 10 toes as a 10 nation confederacy located in the geographical territory of the old Roman Empire (Europe and the Middle East). Others see them as 10 regional governments that rule the world under the ultimate authority of the anti-Christ. Rev. 17:12-13 hints of this.
In this 2nd view, the US could become one of the 10 toes. In order for this to happen the US, perhaps after linking up with Mexico and Canada, would have to merge into some form of world government that would include 9 other regional entities.
As for the Kingdom that God sets up that will never be destroyed, it’s the Messianic Kingdom of Jesus that begins at the time of His 2nd Coming.
Sorry, but there’s no Biblical basis for believing that the US could be all 10 toes and the Kingdom that God sets up that will never be destroyed.”
Could it be that this new Arab alliance against Iran will become the 10 toe nation confederacy?
“[Mount of Olives] is located at the heart of east Jerusalem,” he noted. “It is surrounded by Arab communities, all around.” Lubinsky cited the “lawlessness” of the communities, and stated that 50,000 illegal homes for Arabs have been built there since 1967. “If an Arab wants to drive in that part of Jerusalem without a driver’s license, he can. There’s no law,” he noted. “If somebody wants to expand his home without a permit, he can. There’s no law.”
“Ron Prosor to U.N: Israel is the only place in the Middle East where minorities are free to practice their faith, says that Christians fled both Hamas and PA rule in Gaza, West Bank • Calls on international community to support Kurdish fighters in Iraq.”
“As part of lessons we learned from Operation Protective Edge [in the Gaza Strip last summer], we learned the necessity of close cooperation between tanks and infantry,” Lt.-Col. Rafi Wolfson, commander of the 196 Battalion, told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday.”
