Articles of the Day 5/22/15: Arrogance and Hypocrisy
Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.
I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please.’—Isaiah 46:9-10
Inner Ring (Countries or terror groups that border Israel)
“The World Bank published worrying data on poverty and unemployment in the Gaza Strip, calling upon Israel and the Arab countries to prevent “a serious economic disaster.” According to the new data, 44% of Gaza’s residents are defined as unemployed and 39% of them are poor despite international assistance.”
This is what happens when a terrorist group becomes a government. Hamas’s only goal is to destroy Israel, they could care less if Palestinians have jobs. They just blame Israel. Why is the World Bank saying Israel should do something about it? These people are not governed by Israel. Hamas is responsible. IF Hamas were to disarm and recognize the legitimacy of Israel’s existence then maybe some useful trade could happen. The problem is Hamas, they are not a responsible government.
“Unique new 3-D model at 50 square meters in size will give IDF officers special training to be one step ahead of the terrorists.”
Everyone knows another war with Gaza is coming.
“Gaza Belt residents to be evacuated systematically and under IDF supervision, according to new program.”
“Hezbollah officials say battle against Syrian rebels in Qalamoun a dress rehearsal for next war with Israel.”
Question is, will there be any Hezbollah left to conquer Gallilee?
“A report by Iran’s Fars news agency on Wednesday claimed that the defense minister supposedly said “We are going to hurt Lebanese civilians to include kids of the family. We went through a very long deep discussion … we did it then, we did it in [the] Gaza Strip, we are going to do it in any round of hostilities in the future,” while speaking at an unnamed “conference in Jerusalem.”
The quote was most likely based on Ya’alon’s comments from the May 5 Shurat Hadin conference. He was recounting targeting decisions in which he was involved when it first became apparent that Hezbollah was purposely placing weapons in civilian homes in Lebanon. He said that “If we don’t intercept the rocket-launchers in advance, civilians will be hurt, if not killed. If we hit the launchers, it will hurt or kill Lebanese civilians.” He said a “long, deep discussion” regarding the “moral and legal considerations” took place before the final decision to strike the rocket launcher.”
Iran and Hezbollah are the ones putting civilians at risk by positioning arms next too schools, mosques, hospitals, etc. This is all well documented and known as truth. Yet Israel is always the one persecuted. So many people in the world ignore the truth. The truth from God and the truth about Israel.
Outer Ring (countries or terror groups that are close to but not bordering Israel)
“The State Department background briefing is well worth reading in full, along with the other reports listed above that simply dodge and spin. It makes a sharp and welcome contrast at a time virtually every indicator shows that the number of terrorist movements and attacks is rising on a global basis; and that we are involved in “failed state wars” in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen that we are not winning and where our current efforts seem too weak, and uncoordinated with our allies and partners to be effective.”
“BEIRUT — ISIS extremists seized almost full control of the ancient Syrian town of Palmyra after government defense lines there collapsed on Wednesday, though it remained unclear how close to the famed archaeological site the extremists advanced, activists said.”
“May 21 Update: The recent fall of the strategic city of Palmyra to ISIS highlights the risks faced by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad as he attempts to counterbalance the regime’s increasingly-fraught military position with his desire to maintain an “Army in All Corners” strategy. Palmyra represented a key lynchpin in the system of remote outposts garrisoned by the regime throughout the country as a way of maintaining the appearance of a national presence while reinforcing Assad’s “own legitimacy as the only viable alternative to a failed, jihadist-dominated Syrian state.” The loss of Palmyra thus marks a major blow to the campaign designs of the Assad regime and signals that time may be running out for Assad’s plan to garner international support as the only effective anti-ISIS actor on the ground.”
“The fall of Damascus and Baghdad, or large slices thereof, into the rapacious hands of the Islamic State, is no longer a debatable subject of strategic forecasts. Today, the capital cities of Syria and Iraq are within the Islamists’ grasp. The Middle East is about to pay the price for President Barack Obama’s single-minded obsession with a US détente with Tehran and a nuclear accord. It is the end product of Washington’s insistence on playing down ISIS as a formidable opponent and contention that the meager US-led coalition air campaign destroyed much of its operational capabilities, which proved to be an illusion. Equally fallacious was Obama’s trust in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps and its terrorist arm, the Al Qods Brigades, to curtail the Islamist momentum.”
“An Iranian cargo ship loaded with aid bound for Yemen arrived in Djibouti on Thursday and is anchored offshore, a US official said. Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency said the ship is in Djibouti waters and will dock “within hours.” The diversion of the ship to the small African country where the UN is coordinating the response to Yemen’s conflict would defuse a potential crisis with Saudi Arabia, which had warned the ship not to proceed directly to Yemen. Iran had provided the ship with a naval escort and warned against any interference.”
“Vic Batista: Let’s continue on with Ezekiel 39:9-10?
Nathan Jones: That verse gives us more detail about the aftermath of this war. Bear in mind that we have this giant coalition of nations that come down to plunder and destroy Israel. God steps in and He destroys these armies and their nations. Now we get into the aftermath of what happens.
“‘Then those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out and set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and bucklers, the bows and arrows, the javelins and spears; and they will make fires with them for seven years. They will not take wood from the field nor cut down any from the forests, because they will make fires with the weapons; and they will plunder those who plundered them, and pillage those who pillaged them,’ says the Lord God.”
Vic Batista: So, as we get into this next portion of Scripture about the burning of the weapons, we know that there’s going to take a certain amount of time to clean up after this invasion.”
“Vic Batista: Nathan, you made a very good point about the focus being moved away from the Church and instead put on Israel. The reason for that change is because we don’t believe that the Church is going to be here for these events.
Nathan Jones: Exactly! The Rapture of the Church, revealed in 1 Thessalonians 4 and 1 Corinthians 15 and John 4, all talk about how the Church (those who have accepted Jesus as their Savior) will be taken off this earth before God’s wrath comes. When we see such a shift from God’s focus of evangelism through the Church to His direct confrontation with the enemies of Israel, and using Israel as a conduit for His testimony again, we know that the shift we’re seeing today will have finally taken place. The Gog and Magog War indicates that the Rapture of the Church happens before this battle happens.”
“Q. I’m a little confused as Acts 2:20 reads “the sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.”
But Revelation 6:12 reads, ” I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red.”
Does this mean the day of the Lord only starts after the sixth seal is opened? That doesn’t fit with anything I believe but I can’t seem to get over it. Thanks in advance for your answer. You make the end times understandable but this little thing has thrown me!
A. The phrase “Day of the Lord” can be applied to several spans of time, but the most frequent one is the 3 1/2 years we call the Great Tribulation. This time is described beginning in Revelation 13 with the introduction of the anti-Christ, reaches its peak in the Bowl judgments of chapter 16 and culminates with the destruction of Babylon in chapters 17-18.
In Acts 2:20 Peter says the moon will turn to blood before the Day of the Lord, and in Rev. 6 it happens. Peter’s prophecy is accurate. This is the one and only time the moon will turn blood red. It was first mentioned in Joel 2:31, repeated in Acts 2:20, and will be fulfilled in Rev. 6:12.”
“Q. My question is in regard to the recent earthquake activity. Since God’s wrath doesn’t start until the tribulation, are the earthquake “birth pangs” a result of creation crying out for Christ’s return?
A. In Matt. 24:7-8 the earthquakes are only described as birth pangs. But in Romans 8:19 Paul said the creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. In Romans 8:22 He said the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of child birth. This could include the growing frequency of volcanic eruptions as well as earthquakes.”
“Ahead of submitting draft UN resolution on negotiations, Paris reportedly threatens to recognize Palestine should talks fail.”
Yep, sure sounds like extortion. Let them be recognized. It won’t change anything, better then agreeing to a solution that is bad for Israel.
“Holocaust-denying rhetoric masks Nazi-like fantasies.”
“Washington sends top official to discuss nonproliferation as review conference for NPT underway.”
Wow, the arrogance and hypocrisy the US has shown under this administration is truly astounding. While the US says Iran can keep their nuclear weapons program they ask Israel to dismantle theirs.
“Deputy FM in speech tells Israeli envoys worldwide to reference Torah in arguing Israel’s right to all of the land.”
“GENEVA, May 20, 2015 – As Israeli hospitals continue their life-saving treatment for escalating numbers of wounded Syrians fleeing to the Golan from the Assad regime’s barbaric attacks, the U.N. reached new heights of absurdity today by accusing Israel of violating the health rights of Syrians in the Golan.
By a vote of 104 to 4, with 6 abstentions and 65 absent, the Jewish state was singled out as the world’s top violator of health rights by the annual assembly of the U.N.’s World Health Organization.”
Jesus was also persecuted unjustly.
“Top Vatican adviser Jeffrey Sachs says that when Pope Francis visits the United States in September, he will directly challenge the “American idea” of God-given rights embodied in the Declaration of Independence.”
