Articles of the Day 6/1/15: Feed The Cycle of Violence
Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.
I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please.’—Isaiah 46:9-10
Inner Ring (Countries or terror groups that border Israel)
“Other than breathing, it appears all Jewish rights on Temple Mount have been taken away, and Rabbi Chaim Richman, International Director of the Temple Institute, is exasperated. Jews who belong to the growing stream of Temple Mount adherents are used to being mistreated by the police and harassed by Muslims there, but Sunday’s instruction by a policeman to a Jewish visitor has surprised even the seasoned pilgrims. The policeman – whom Temple activists identified as a Druze – told the Jewish man that he may not drink water. “Naturally, it is a hot day today, I went to get a drink,” the man, Elishama Sandman, told Ynet. “When I came close to the faucets, the policeman stopped me and told me that I do not have permission to drink.” Sandman asked him if this was a new instruction and the policeman answered in the affirmative. “Saying to people who are already cooking in the sun for two or three hours that they can’t drink water is saying one of two things,” Richman told Arutz Sheva Monday. “Either that they should die in the heat, or that they can’t go up to the Temple Mount.””
People keep forgetting this is Jewish land granted to them by God. Yet they are not allowed to pray or drink water on this land. What do you think the Lord thinks about this?
“The Palestinian Authority (PA) has once again broadcasted anti-Semitic content, this time “informing” viewers that Jews are bloodthirsty and subhuman on a children’s show, Palestinian Media Watch reports Monday.”
“A group claiming to be associated with ISIS and operating in Gaza said that it killed a top Hamas commander.”
Red on red. So interesting how God is using the same evil against Israel’s enemies.
“Hamas is planning to kidnap more Israeli soldiers, a spokesperson for the terror group said Sunday.”
Instead of jobs its kidnappings. Instead of peace its rockets. Who is really taking care of the Palestinians people? The UN of course. This is how they feed the cycle of violence.
“Two rockets reportedly fired into sea from Gush Katif area as Hamas continues to develop domestic rockets in preparation for next war.”
Outer Ring (countries or terror groups that are close to but not bordering Israel)
“Nearly 75 percent of U.S. bombing runs targeting the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria returned to base without firing any weapons in the first four months of 2015, holding their fire mainly because of a lack of ground intelligence and raising questions about President Obama’s key tactic in pushing back an enemy that continues to expand its territory in the war zone.”
This is why the air attacks have had little to no effect. White House restrictions on rules of engagement have neutered the impact of the air attacks.
“Kurdish YPG militia seizes eight villages back from Islamic State, as coalition airstrikes continue.”
Kurds doing better the the US at the moment.
“Arab media says Russia evacuating its staff and turning its back on Assad, a crippling blow to a regime that has been steadily crumbling.”
“Q. In 1 Thess 5:4-11 It talks about being awake and alert, and not being like others who are asleep, because we are of the day, and those who sleep are of the night. But later in the passage it says that Jesus died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we may live together with Him, therefore we are to encourage one another and build each other up. In this latter passage who are the sleepers? Would it be those in the immediate context, which would seem to suggest that some believers could be caught “sleeping” when He comes? Or could it be referring to those who died in Christ, which would be according to the general context of Thessalonians?
A. This passage can be confusing until you realize that Paul changed his meaning of the word “asleep” in the middle of it. In 1 Thes. 4:13, where he used the word for the first time, he was referring to believers who had died. Then in 1 Thes. 5:6 he used it in reference to unbelievers who will be taken by surprise because they’re ignorant of the end times signs. Finally, in 1 Thes. 5:10 he switched back, referring again to believers who have died.”
“Q. Re: Luke 21:25. What is meant by Perplexity at the waves and sea roaring? Is there some unusual event being foretold here like Tsunamis or is this something else? If so has anything like ever happened ? A storm at sea can be frightful but is a natural phenomena. Does this mean something we have never before seen?
A. In Luke 21:25 Jesus was talking about events leading up to the end times judgments which will get progressively worse as the time approaches. These events, called birth pangs, will all be things that have happened before but never with such frequently and intensity. In Luke 21:26 Jesus said they will actually cause men to feint from terror.
But in Luke 21:29 He said when all these things begin to take place, we who are believers should stand up and lift up our heads, because they mean our redemption is drawing near.”
“Mixed reactions as Egyptian president recruits scholars to counter radical ideology with moderate Islam.”
So hated by the Obama administration. But the only one in the world seeking to reform Islam. What can one man do? Very likely to get assassinated soon. Only God can change Islam or extinguish it.
“No fewer than 42% of Turks believe that Israel is the biggest threat to their country, a new poll shows.”
Purely driven by the anti-Semitic government currently in power in Turkey.
“Sadly, the UCC delegates’ choices regarding Israel will be based on documents, “proofs,” and appeals built upon a foundation of lies, false choices and political fantasies that accuse Israel of being an “Apartheid State,” and an “illegal occupier of Palestinian land.”
“The Palestinian people [do] not exist… In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism.” — PLO Executive Committee member Zahir Muhse’in, quoted in the Dutch newspaper Trouw.
The world is looking to the UCC to create peace, not to risk damaging its own image by perpetuating malicious falsehoods. So long as Christian organizations such as the UCC keep the fraudulent “Big Lie” alive, they will miss the opportunity to realize the very peace they envision.”
