Palestinians ramp up terror to gunfire. Israel Intelligence still at a loss

“Sunday, Feb. 14, will go down as a landmark day in the terror campaign the Palestinians have been waging against Israel for five months. It marked the latest, deliberately ramped up phase. After advancing from rocks, stabbings, car rammings and teen attacks, through the stage of loners to gangs of two and three, it moved up this week to shooting and explosive devices. Four Palestinian shooting attacks took place in 12 hours, most using knock-off Carl Gustav submachine guns turned out by illegal foundries in Nablus.”

Outer Ring (countries or terror groups that are close to but not bordering Israel)

Very interesting events are taking place right now in Syria. Saudi Arabia and Turkey appear to have made a decision regarding their involvement in Syria. Russian involvement and Assad’s apparent battlefield success of late has forced the hand of the Saudi’s.  Turkey and Saudi Arabia appear to be ready to get more involved on the ground in Syria.

The question is to what extent? I’m not buying they just want to more involved against ISIS or the Kurds. Assad is the target. I think there is a real chance the Saudi’s (with other gulf allies) may invade Syria. Turkey will also participate in a limited way to establish a buffer in Syria.

This would be a risky move as it would entail confronting Russia directly. However, the Russian forces in theater are limited and they would have to up the ante by sending even more forces. If this happens we are talking full scale regional war between the Saudi Arabia\Turkey and Russia. However, Russia and Saudi Arabia might be playing a game of chicken. How bad does Russia want to save Assad versus how bad the Saudi’s want to remove him. One of them could blink before a major confrontation.

If the Saudi’s invade in a big way look for them to drive towards Damascus and Turkey to drive towards Aleppo. IF both cities are taken what does Assad do? What does Russia do? Could we be seeing the beginning of how Isaiah 17 will be fulfilled? Would Russia nuke Damascus to save Assad? Saudi air forces would have to deal with Russian air defenses. If the Saudis can neutralize Russian air power and take control of the air then that changes everything.

“RIYADH – Saudi Arabia says troops from 20 countries are gathering in the oil-rich nation for large-scale military exercises.

The kingdom announced the exercises Sunday on the official Saudi Press Agency, describing them as “the largest and most important” military maneuvers in the region’s history.

It says the exercises in the country’s north will include air, sea and land forces. They are expected to last 18 days, with participating forces arriving in “the next few hours.” Most of the participants are Arab and African countries, and do not include the United States and other Western powers.”

Bible Prophecy

The Purpose Of The Church

“Q. The question I have is this ; “What is the Purpose of the Church Age when Gentiles will also be saved in the Tribulation ?”

A. 1 Peter 1:10-12 tells us neither the prophets of old nor even the angels in heaven really understood what God was going to accomplish through the Church. But Paul revealed it to us.

He said God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of His Grace (Ephes 2:6-7). Then in Ephesians 3:10-11 he said God’s intent in doing this was that now, through the Church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms (angels) according to His eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Put these two statements together and you can see that God’s purpose was to demonstrate the full extent of His capacity for love, and He chose to do so through the Church. When we were dead in our sins He made us alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins and canceled the list of our violations of His law (Colossians 2:13-14) and now regards us as a new creation, as righteous as He is (2 Cor. 5:17, 21). He gave us the authority to become His own children (John 1:12-13) and made us His heirs as well (Galatians 4:4-7). He raised his Son from the dead to a place at His right hand with authority that far exceeded any heavenly power (Ephesians 1:20-21), and then He raised us up and seated us there with Him (Ephesians 2:6-7).

At the appointed time He will send His Son to collect us and take us to a place of unimaginable beauty that He has been preparing for us for almost 2,000 years (John 14:2-3). In doing so He will rescue us from the time and place of the coming wrath (1 Thes. 1:10, Romans 5:9) and we will dwell with Him forever (1 Thes. 4:16-17). We won’t have done anything to deserve this, except to believe that He did it for us.

I think that qualifies as an unparalleled demonstration of the incomparable riches of His grace.”

The US record on prosecuting Palestinian killers in one word: Lousy

“Sixty-four American citizens have been murdered by Palestinian terrorists in Israel since the signing of the 1993 Oslo accords, including my daughter Alisa — yet the United States has not prosecuted even one of the killers. How is that possible?”
