Inner Ring (Countries or terror groups that border Israel)
“JERUSALEM – A top Israeli military leader on Wednesday issued a stern warning to the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, saying any future war between the two enemies will unleash “devastating” damage on Lebanon.”
This is a standard issue threat that comes once or twice a year to remind everybody that Lebanon will pay the price for what Hezbollah does. This policy has led to relative clam in the north. However, sometimes Israel will say this when they see Hezbollah doing something they do not like.
“One day after a bomb incinerated two Egged buses in Jerusalem wounding 21 people Monday, a police gag order amid an ongoing joint investigation with the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) has meant few details have emerged about the explosion.”
I think this was an attack by Hamas warning Israel not too destroy more tunnels. We could see an Israeli response attack in the coming weeks. Miracle by God no was killed but several critically injured.
“Hamas official says the bomb attack on a Jerusalem bus was the first attack in a series meant to “surprise the enemy”.”
“Israel’s support for placing cameras on the Temple Mount remains unchanged. That’s because we believe in transparency,” the Israeli official told AFP on condition of anonymity, using the Jewish term for the site.”
In other words, the Israelis have nothing to hide but the Palestinians do. They are the aggressors and harass Jewish visitors all the time.
“The Jordanian government-controlled Waqf Islamic trust has announced it will be appointing 150 new “Islamic guards” to patrol the Temple Mount, just days after it was confirmed that a long-awaited program to install security cameras at the holy site had been scuppered by Muslim objections.”
I think Israel and Jordan are headed toward a showdown over the Temple Mount. Whenever Israel willingly gives up land they get burned. No better example then the Temple Mount. God wants them to keep the lands but they keep caving into pressure of the world.
“Activists launch petition against ‘insulting’ UN decision to deny all Jewish connection to Temple Mount, Western Wall.”
“The UN cultural body on Monday sought to calm anger over a resolution on a flashpoint Jerusalem holy site which saw Israel accuse it of seeking to “rewrite history” after it omitted all mention of Jewish historical ties to the area.
UNESCO chief Irina Bokova called for “respect and dialogue” with regards to the Al-Aqsa mosque compound or Temple Mount, revered by both Muslims and Jews.
“Jerusalem is a Holy Land of the three monotheistic religions, a place of dialogue for all Jewish, Christian and Muslim people. Nothing should be undertaken to alter its integrity and authenticity,” Bokova said in a statement.”
Actions speak louder then words. The UN encourages, anger, tension and terror when they make these decisions. They serve no purpose other then to further Arab agendas. God sees all and will judge all.
“The Shin Bet revealed a terror cell belonging to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, who planned to kidnap an Israeli citizen in order to free Palestinian terrorists from Israeli jails.”
Proof freeing of prisoners leads to further terror.
“The IDF has formulated a plan in order to deal with the growing threat of tunnels, and hopes to construct a technological barrier along the border that will provide a solution to the threats both above and below the surface.”
“We are here in the Jordan Valley and we are staying here,” Akunis stated. “We stayed in Judea, Samaria, and the Golan and we will remain in all of these places,” he said.
“There are people in Israel or in the international community who can claim that one region or another is not a part of Israel,” he added. “But it’s all the land of Israel and it will always remain so.”
“We are here for historical reasons and we are here for security reasons, because of Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley are the defensive shield of the State and people of Israel,” he continued. “We will continue to build and settle the Jordan Valley.”
Interesting, lately Israeli officials going out of their way to stake their claim to lands of Israel. Perhaps it is because other countries are so eager to give it away.
“EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini says that the body does not recognize Israeli sovereignty in the Golan Heights.”
The EU and US don’t really recognize Israeli sovereignty at all but I digress. Syria lost the Golan Heights to Israel during the 1967 Six Day war. Lesson….go up against Gods people and you will lose. Israel has every right to hang on to it and for security purposes they should. Imagine if Israel suggested that the US give back Texas to Mexico. Crazy right?
“Terror victim Natan Meir, whose wife Dafna, 38, was stabbed to death in their home by a Palestinian teenager, urged the United Nations Security Council in New York on Monday to take steps for peace.
“I ask you leaders of the world to spread faith, tolerance and love. These are the fertilizers needed to grow the flower of peace,” Natan said.”
Outer Ring (countries or terror groups that are close to but not bordering Israel)
“In the past few weeks, however, the administration has signaled that it is on the cusp of making an additional and unexpected concession to Iran that significantly weakens remaining U.S. leverage: giving Iran backdoor access to financial transactions in dollars. The administration reportedly believes it needs to make this additional concession to honor the spirit of the agreement. Congress is crying foul, asserting that such dollar access was not included in the letter of the original deal and constitutes a gift to Iran that should not be given without additional Iranian concessions. As President Obama himself asked recently: Why should the United States offer additional concessions to honor the spirit of the deal if Iran is not also making additional concessions?”
Just do not understand the White House obsession with helping Iran. It was not long ago Iran was responsible for the killing and maiming of US soldiers in Iraq.Even the President seems confused.
“Israeli Air Force and Russian battle planes flew very close to one another and only at the last minute prevented an incident due to mistaking the identity of the plane. The coordination mechanism established between Russia and Israel prevented an aerial disaster.”
“The United States will deploy additional forces to Iraq and make Apache attack helicopters available to support the country’s troops, US Secretary of Defence Ashton Carter said Monday in Baghdad.”
“Vic Batista: One of the areas in Bible study that probably not many people are familiar with is the work of the angelic beings found in the book of Revelation, particularly during the Tribulation time period.”
“Q. Some bodies of deceased believers have been cremated and/or destroyed via explosion. Others have been devoured by wild animals, and still others by fish and other creatures of the sea. Are these the same bodies that Christ will make new during the rapture? Or, do you think that Christ will make completely new bodies for those believers?
A. In 1 Cor. 15:53 Paul wrote, “For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.”
Even dead bodies that have been properly buried quickly decay and eventually turn to dust no matter what the cause of their death. The bodies of some Christians have been in their graves for centuries, while their souls and spirits have been with the Lord (2 Cor. 5:6-8).
I believe at the resurrection God will make a new perfect body for each deceased believer. Then He will send their soul and spirit to dwell in them. This is what Paul meant by saying the dead in Christ will rise first (1 Thes 4:16).
Paul also said we won’t all die but we will all be changed (1 Cor. 15:50-53). He meant the bodies of living believers will be instantaneously changed from mortal to immortal and completely perfected at the same time.
Today we are a new creation by faith in what Jesus has done for us (2 Cor. 5:17) and God has chosen to see us that way (Hebrews 10:12-14) even though we still sin (Romans 7:18-20). When we arrive in heaven we will be a new creation in fact, perfect in every way, finally conformed to the likeness of God’s son (Romans 8:29, 1 John 3:2). No part of our earthly imperfection will enter heaven with us.”
“I hear and read comments like those a lot today. The liberal or emergent churches stand on stage with a fog machine and the praise band plays the same refrain over and over, millennials are swaying and hands are upstretched. They cry out for power and wisdom and for the Holy Spirit to descend upon them in force. They crave ever more potent “experiences” and “power” and “anointing” as the early church seemed to have had.
And yet there is one critical ingredient that they lack, and in so lacking, they will NEVER have the power of the spirit that they crave. Can you guess what that ingredient is?
The word of God.”
And that is really the test of a good church. Do they teach the word? It is not as simple as it sounds. Many churches and their preachers pretend to teach the word of God but they really don’t. How can you tell? Even Joel Olsteen quotes scripture (out of context usually). As the author notes, expository teaching keeps one close to the correct teaching of God. It means a verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book teaching. In other words, following the Bible….closely. It takes a while. One must have patience. And you must do it over and over again to again understanding. People like Olsteen and emergent church teachers will quote one verse from the Bible then go off into a message completely from their own mind.
Many preachers today preach instead their own message and use Bible verses to authenticate it. This works if the audience does not know scripture themselves but those who know it can identify the twisting of words, lies, and false teachings. It forces you to be accountable for your own knowledge of the word. Often, these false teachers will have a nice sounding title to their message, they may even reference a verse or two. But most of the content is from their own twisted mind. That is where expository teaching is better. It forces you into the mind of God instead of your mind (or your preachers mind). Man, often, gets it wrong. People of the liberal\emergent churches twist scripture to fit their own corrupt beliefs. They do not change their hearts, they make Gods word change to what they believe and that is blasphemy.
