Inner Ring (Countries or terror groups that border Israel)
“IDF forces and Israel Border Police discovered illegal, home made gun making machines in the village of a-Ram outside of Jerusalem overnight. While the security forces were destroying the equipment, a suspicious vehicle appeared at the scene and started accelerating towards the troops. Security forces opened fire, killing one Palestinian while injuring a second. A third Palestinian was taken in for investigation.”
If Palestinians want peace so bad why are they manufacturing weapons?
“BANI NAIM, West Bank — The family of a Palestinian high school dropout who killed a 13-year-old Jewish settler girl in her sleep last month before being shot dead is now eligible for $350 a month from a Palestinian fund for “martyrs.” Israel argues that such stipends for families of Palestinians killed or wounded in the conflict promote violence by rewarding attacks, and has stepped up a campaign against the fund after a series of killings of West Bank settlers. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the payments “an incentive for murder,” and a government spokesman said that starting next month, Israel would deduct those sums from monthly transfers of taxes and customs it collects on behalf of the Palestinians.”
If Palestinians want peace so bad why are they encouraging attacks by paying the families of terrorists? This fuels the conflict and goes beyond just incitement. This is perhaps the greatest motivation behind the attacks. Should also remind people the PA receives millions in Western “aide” each year. The West is indirectly funding terrorist attacks against Israel. Aide to the PA should cease immediately.
“For an organization established in 1985, Hezbollah has had quite the storied history. In their three decades, they’ve not only undermined the government and military of their native Lebanon, they’ve destabilized the entire Middle East – and that’s not all. With the help of their patron, Iran, and their ally, Syria, it has amassed an arsenal larger than that of most nation-states. Hezbollah has gained footholds all over the world. This Shiite militia from Southern Lebanon has grown into a sizable international threat.”
“Barbed wire fences, obstacles, observation posts and cameras are spread out across the Northern border. A tour of the North and a conversation with commanders 10 years after the 2nd Lebanon War indicates that the IDF has changed and is ready for the next confrontation with Hezbollah.”
The IDF seeks to reassure the people they are safe but history has shown the IDF has not always been very prepared. Leadership in the IDF is currently infected with Leftest thinking which corrupts their minds. I thinks this makes them less able to defend the country. They still have technological superiority which is keeping the peace at the moment but in the next major conflict a lot of innocent people are still going to die. The IDF thinks because of the Syrian war Hezbollah will not attack. Hezbollah, however, has proven in the past they can very stupid.
“Lebanon-based terror group Hezbollah has amassed a larger arsenal of hidden rockets and missiles than all European NATO allies combined, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations warned on Tuesday.
Presenting aerial satellite imagery as proof, Danon told the Security Council, “The village of Shaqra has been turned into a Hezbollah stronghold with one out of three buildings used for terror activities, including rocket launchers and arms depots. Hezbollah has placed these positions next to schools and other public institutions putting innocent civilians in great danger.”
Israel is smart. They are already fighting the propaganda war before the next major conflict. Because Hezbollah uses human shields the civilian causalities will be high. Israel will be forced to take out the weapons so they are framing the debate now. The world has been warned and informed what Hezbollah is doing and has done nothing about it. Intentionally placing weapons near civilians or using human shields is a war crime.
“Acting on the advice of the Israel Security Agency (ISA) domestic intelligence organization, Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman on Monday outlawed an organization he said acted under Hezbollah and Iranian instructions to carry out terrorist attacks against Israelis and set off a wave of violence targeting Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
The organization, Al-Harak Al-Shababi (Movement of Youths), has been banned “after a lot of significant information was gathered on it,” a spokesperson for Liberman said. The investigation revealed a large-scale Iranian and Hezbollah attempt to ignite violence in Israel and to topple the Palestinian Authority, the spokesperson added.”
“MK Robert Ilatov of Yisrael Beytenu expressed satisfaction at the passage late Monday of the NGO “transparency law”, which he authored together with Jewish Home MK Betzalel Smotrich and Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked, also of Jewish Home.
“Organizations that present themselves as objective but are funded by foreign countries are unacceptable in a democratic country,” Ilatov told Arutz Sheva, “Israel has its own strong institutions that deal with matters of human rights and equality and we can’t allow a situation where other countries are funding NGOs whose purpose is to delegitimize Israel.”
The law will ensure that organizations report publicly that they receive funding from foreign countries, Ilatov said, “that way the public will know if these NGOs are actually objective.”
The MK added that the law will also prevent “blatant interference” by various leftist organizations in Israeli elections. “We already have a law that defines what is allowed and what is not allowed in terms of election donations, but some bodies hide behind foreign nations to circumvent the laws and blatantly interfere with election cycles.”
This law is a fantastic idea. Much needed since a high number of NGOs are anti-Semitic and pretend to be Human Rights advocates but their sole purpose is really to delegitimize Israel.
“Over the past nine months of the ongoing wave of terror, Palestinians terrorists have killed 13 Israelis and wounded many others in knife attacks. The victims were from all walks of life, including mother of six Dafna Meir, Rabbi Aharon Bennett (whose wife and two-year-old daughter were wounded in the attack), and thirteen-year-old Hallel Yaffa Ariel. Since the wave of terror began, Palestinian terrorists have carried out over 140 stabbings and attempted over 70 more.
To defend themselves from stabbing attacks, Israelis have used anything at their disposal. One person used a guitar and another used a backpack. If you’re ever faced with a terrorist with a knife, the most important thing to do is to get to safety as soon as possible. But if you can’t, there are steps you can take to defend yourself. Maayan, an IDF Krav Maga instructor, is here to teach you how to defend yourself in a stabbing attack.”
If Palestinians want peace so bad why are they making videos and cartoons about stabbing Israelis?
Outer Ring (countries or terror groups that are close to but not bordering Israel)
“A decade after waging war against the Jewish state, support for Bashar Assad in Syria is bleeding the Lebanese Shiite group and discontent over its intervention is growing.”
“BEIRUT/AMMAN (Reuters) – Rebel areas of Aleppo have stockpiled enough basic supplies to survive months of siege by Syrian pro-government forces that cut off their half of the city last week, even though some goods are running out, an opposition official said.”
“Hamas condemned former Saudi Intelligence Chief Turki al-Faisal’s statements made in Paris Saturday at the Free Iran conference, a gathering of anti-Iranian regime dissidents. Faisal accused Iran of destabilizing the region and “spreading chaos” through its support for militant organizations including Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).”
“Q. Your article on “Isa. 17 and Oracle concerning Damascus” is something I have really thought about a lot. I am wondering if Isa. 17 and Psalm 83 are talking about the same event and that after that event happens then Ezekiel 38-39 would take place. It is rather confusing to me and I would appreciate your comments on this.
A. The time line is not laid out clearly for us. But I think it’s quite likely that Psalm 83 and Isaiah 17 could be fulfilled first and perhaps even at the same time. Israel’s enemies in these two prophecies are all bordering neighbors, but they aren’t in the line-up for Ezekiel 38 as you would expect them to be. If this is the case, it would set the stage for a peace that would be subsequently broken by the Battle of Ezekiel 38, as you have suggested.”
“According to MEMRI, Arab columnist Hussein Shobokshi wrote an article where he called upon the Muslim world to uproot Islamist extremism in the same way that Germany uprooted Nazism for the rise of Islamism has an uncanny resemblance to Nazism and therefore requires a similar remedy.”
Sounds logical to me.
“NEW YORK (JTA) — A pro-Palestinian student group at New York University that blamed Israel for recent police shootings of black men is now scaling back, somewhat, on the accusations it made on Facebook.
In the original Facebook post from July 7, Students for Justice in Palestine at NYU held Israel accountable for the black people “lynched” by police forces in the United States because “many U.S. police departments train with the Israel Defense Forces.”
“Russian President Vladimir Putin has just crossed a very dangerous line. He has just signed a law making it illegal for Russian followers of Jesus Christ to share or preach the Gospel anywhere outside the walls of their church, or even email their family and friends to invite them to church. What’s more, he has done so under the guise of preventing “terrorism.”
Because it is Russia, I think sometimes we forget Christians are persecuted there as in the rest of the world. Remember too Christians are persecuted all over the world like in China, North Korea and Pakistan to name a few. Please pray for them. Really shows what is done in the name of anti-terror.
