Inner Ring (Countries or terror groups that border Israel)

Police officer and civilian killed, 4 wounded in Jerusalem vehicular terrorist attack

Jerusalem Shooter Was to Begin Prison Sentence for Assaulting Israeli Cop

“According to Palestinian sources, the assailant – whose identity remains under gag order – was linked to the Mourabitoun, an outlawed Islamist group active at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. ‘We’re very proud of him and what he did,’ daughter says.”

Fatah quick to honor as “Martyr” today’s terrorist murderer

“In two separate posts on its official Facebook page, Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah Movement honored the terrorist murderer who went on a shooting spree in Jerusalem today, targeting people who were waiting at train stations from his car. Terrorist Musbah Abu Sbeih murdered a 60-year-old woman and a policeman, and injured 6.”

This kind of incitement inspires more attacks. Western governments should cease all aide to the PA. This Palestinian terrorist was a member of Hamas. Palestinians celebrated the attack by passing our candy while Israelis were morning the dead.

Outer Ring (countries or terror groups that are close to but not border Israel)

Amid Syrian chaos, Iran’s game plan emerges: a path to the Mediterranean

“Militias controlled by Tehran are poised to complete a land corridor that would give Iran huge power in the region.”

Interesting theory with some truth to it. However, I find it highly unlikely the Iranians would put themselves at the mercy of militias and the Kurds. It is hard to see how Iran comes out of this in a better position.  Israel has benefited the most from this conflict.

Obama Administration Further Eases Financial Sanctions on Iran

“Treasury guidelines loosen restrictions on Iran’s ability to trade in U.S. dollars.”

Just don’t understand the love affair between Iran and the Obama administration. Iran has not moderated their behavior so what has been achieved?

Tip of the Iceberg: Russian Use of Power in Syria

“The Russians are determined to reacquire some of the status once enjoyed by the Soviet Union of yore. They believe Western carelessness is to blame for the rise of Islamic State, and are using the Syrian theater to demonstrate their strategic capability.”

Russia to upgrade Syrian naval base

“Moscow announces it will turn Soviet-era facility in Tartus into permanent base as it beefs up forces in area.”
